All about Uttaranchal University

Admission is based on merit, computed on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. 40% of seats are reserved for the state quota (students from Uttarakhand). Interviews are done before admission. Eligibility is passing the 10+2(PCM) examination from a recognised board

The course basically revolves around pure mathematics and its applications. Faculty to student ratio is good. If you are preparing for competitive exams then you should definitely choose this course. Faculties are well educated with phd degrees. Lectures given by them are not that boring but still, you need to self-study in order to understand the concept. 2 sessionals are conducted before every semester exams which I would say are of moderate level (including semesters too)

Various industrial visits, workshops and interactions with industry people are other important pedagogical activities. More than 200 companies visited our campus for the placement purpose Approximately 75% of the Students get the placement from the university campus itself.

Placement is not provided in this course (maths Hons) but the maximum package offered in the placement was 22 lakhs for BTech CSE and the average placement package from this University is 4.9 LPA. With this course, you can prepare for various competitive exams such as civil services examination, Indian economy service examination, combined defence services, NDA, and can pursue higher studies

The fee structure can be accessed through the university website. Scholarships are given on the basis of marks you attained on the 12th board. The fee which I had given in 2021 is around 74 thousand excluding the other fees. The net tuition fee for the programme will increase 5 per cent per annum from the second year onward. There is more flexibility in the fee structure for the students from Uttarakhand

Many functions are conducted within the campus monthly and the main fest is conducted once a year. But many cultures and sports activities are conducted by different colleges you can take part in. Digital classrooms are there with smart classes. You can find any course books related to your programme in the library free of cost. There are various clubs in different branches and can become a member of them.

All the required amenities are provided in the hostel room bed, mattresses, almirah, desk and chair The quality of the food is good with a variety of 4-time meals provided throughout the week including chicken on Sunday. Hostel fee 1lakh 20 thousand for a single room and 1lakh for double sharing and 92 thousand for Triple sharing There are various options other than a hostel in the nearby area for example pg's, rooms and the locals are helpful
