Entrance Preview
NIFT Entrance exam, I chose this college as this is in urban area and is exposed to most of the new developments. Many of the garment companies are also located in and around Bangalore. Growth and job prospects are much better.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was balanced with mix of practical as well as theoretical subjects. There were subjects like pattern making and garment construction were very useful for the perfect understanding.
Internships Opportunities
I was lucky to get internship in one the best companies in like Madura garments. I was offered Rs 2000 per month. I learned a lot regarding actual industry processes through my internship.
Placement Experience
NIFT Bangalore being one of the best center for garments. There are a lot of companies visiting to recruit candidates. Out of 30 students around 20 were placed through college placements.
College Events
There is a yearluy event called NIFT Forum. It is a nice event. outside colleges are also invited to participate. However i believe the content and subjects of the event should be more aggressive and the event should be more bigger.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship facility for poor and bright students and loan facility available for almost all the students.
Campus Life
Campus life was very good. There is a learning environment like no other place. Students are given freedom to chose the way they want to learn at the same time their growth is monitored properly with right kind of guidance.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is there but I would say it still needs to be more encouraging and participative for alumni to come meet and share their experiences together.
Faculty
Faculties of the college were very co-operative and were always ready to help for any query of the subject. They constantly keep in touch with the students for their best of the knowledge.
