Remarks

A good job overall but they lack compared to their other counter parts in the field of education. They quote high for the fees which lacks in quality and the overall preparation of a student in terms of manners, ethics, education, and being attuned in the industry's requirements from a fresh graduate. Most graduates of this college have no idea of their job profile or their requirements of their service in a company.Practical exposure is close to nil.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum during my time was affiliated to Bangalore University which prescribed it.

Internships Opportunities

We ourselves had to find internships. No companies visited ever. It was all on our own. I did 2 internships. One at the end of the second semester and the other one at the end of the fourth semester. It was with Times of India and Raj TV Network respectively.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college had tie ups with very few companies. Companies like KPMG, Tesco, JP Morgan and Chase, Silicon India have visited the campus for recruitments to my knowledge. I was recruited by Silicon India as an assistant editor.

College Events

4.5

Every year witnessed the organising of at least one fest that would last for 2 days minimal. The participation scale is pretty high as students from various colleges far and near competed in various categories. Cash prizes have also been given. There's good scope for extra curricular activities at the college.

Campus Life

4

Well, The college had vast diversities in terms of cultures and ethnicity. We had students from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America.Gender ratio would be close to 5:3 where 5 represented males while 3 represented the females. There were many many cultural activities.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is always better. They really are good and doing well in life. They have shown us how to succeed outside college.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty were very average except a few who really stood out in teaching and excellence. Few faculty were hopeless. We had to teach them. Overall, faculty are very cooperative and build a relationship with the students.

Performing Arts have more of practical things as from acting to direction we are taught everything. History and Theory as some theory part and the kind of career path that our course provides, I think for students interested in this, should join our course at Christ University.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
