Honest Review of my Bsc (Hons) Agriculture Degree

Bsc (Hons) Agriculture is the premier course that SVPUAT offered apart from BVSc.The Basic Eligibility of the course is 10+2 from Recognised Board having Maths or biology in Intermediate.UPCATET is an exam for getting into the SVPUAT. Every year out of Four State Agriculture Universities anyone university conducted the exam. This year Banda Agriculture will be Conducted in the month of May. The cutoff varies Every Year but you have to score high to get admission to this university Reservation Benefits are available for students according to government norms.

Overall our college faculty is well educated and cooperative. Every Professor is a PhD holder and passes out from top universities. Many teachers have published their journals in national and international forums. Every Assistant professor is assigned to a group of 8-9 students as advisors. The college takes mid-term exams followed by final exams and practicals. if someone wants to gain knowledge then this university will be a good option.

The fee structure of BSc (Hons) Agriculture is around 21500 per semester which is around 1.8Lakh for 4 years excluding Hostel. Hostel fees are 4000 per semester which costs me around 32000 for 4 years. University claimed single occupancy room for 4-year students but unfortunately didn't get it. We have to share our room with our roommate. But students opted for state government scholarships.

Our University has its own cultural fest every year on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Foundation Day of University which is on 2 October. Apart from this No, any other culture or tech fest is celebrated. Sports meet is another event which is organized by the university, not every year. The last time it was organized was in 2019 (Pre covid time) The Winners or Position Holders of these cultural and sports meets are nominated for National Level Representation at All India Agri fest. NSS and NCC are options for students to opt-in their 1 year.

We have 4 girls Hostels for all girls where we have to share our rooms. the facility of the hostel is normal like any other college hostel but mess food is not good. So if you come here to try different cuisine you will regret it on the very first day. hostel rooms are spacious but sometimes Mobile networks are lost and we have to go to the terrace. University is on outskirt from the city so PG facility is not a good option hostel charges are nominal 4000 power semester.
