Having joined through KCET, the first round of counseling, my application process was done fairly easily without a hassle. The fees include the placement training cost and are considered reasonable.
Course Curriculum Overview
ECE is a core technical subject that provides ample opportunity for one to pursue any branch of post-graduation. It also gives a wide exposure to the various technologies which make a difference in today's world, which encouraged me to pursue this field. The faculty here are extremely helpful and well qualified and not only help students with gaining knowledge for the exams but with projects, research papers, and competitions as well to prepare them for the outside technical world. Three internals are conducted along with assignments and class activities to prep the students for the final semester examination.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible to sit for placements from the 3rd year(6th sem end) onwards. The college has a good placements drive with around 70-80 percent of students getting placed by the end of their course. The placements department trains the students in aptitude, soft skills, and coding, through their Tie Your Laces Program which helps them face the technical world. With around 105 companies visiting this year, the highest package offered was 25 LPA by Amazon and the average package offered was 6.37 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, and Cloud Circus. My plan is to get a job and work for a year or two before taking up the CAT exam for my MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for joining through CET sum to 89059 including the placements training cost, excluding hostel and commute fees. No hike in fees has been seen till now for the present batches. Opportunities for scholarships are provided based on caste categories.
Campus Life
The college campus life is excellent and the students have an opportunity to take part in various events that are conducted throughout the year, technical and non-technical, by the various clubs in CMRIT. The annual college fest, "Cultura" is something every student looks forward to eagerly. The huge multi-storied library has a vast collection of books. There is a huge ground, basketball court, table tennis court, and volleyball court, along with cricket nets on the campus and a yearly sports fest is held as well where students can portray their talent.
