Remarks
Students with 60% of marks in their board exam along with maths- science stream are eligible for application to this course. Application form, application fees, and application dates are available during Tamilnadu state engineering counselling, and the university board fixes all the fees during the counselling time. Reservation benefits are available for certain categories such as First Graduates, sports reservation, SC/ST, BC/MBC scholarships are also available. Admission process dates can be given before a few weeks so the planning can de done properly for long-distance students.
Course Curriculum Overview
As this course mainly deals with plastic to its core. I felt different while choosing this course that somehow I can try to change the aspects of people towards plastics because it's one of the most versatile materials of the human race. Faculty are well experienced with 20-25 years in the field of industrial and teaching sector, the ratio of faculty to students is 1:60 per subject. Regular Continuous assessment tests are conducted in regular intervals of 2 weeks. Regular studies make exams easier.
Placement Experience
After completing the 6th-semester students are eligible for placement. Top recruiters are Reliance, Supreme, Mother-son,L&T, Dow chemicals 8 lakh per year is the highest package and the average package ranges from 3-4.5 lakhs. Almost every student gets placement opportunities, and students pursuing/ planning to pursue higher studies reject offers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees range from 60000-to 65000 per year and the hostel fee of 55000 is divided into two semesters. The first graduate is available for applicable students, BC/MBC, SC/ST scholarships are also available, Placement begins on the 7th sem and you can get placement with an internship during the final semester.
Campus Life
Spacious Library with every core Book available to refer to and take books with the provided library card (2). Canteen, laboratories for different subjects are available, ISO standard plastic testing centre is also with the campus, ARSTPS research wing is also located inside the campus. Entrepreneurs, Music, Environmental, photography, Arts, NCC clubs are available and run by students and faculty. Cricket team, Handball, football, shuttle badminton is available.
Hostel Facilities
Spacious hostel rooms shared by 4 roommates. The room is provided with two double cots (upper and lower type ) and a table and chair are given, hanger to dress is available. Decent food quality and scheduled food menu are followed accordingly. As the college is placed at the industrial estate area every facility is available for medical, food, transport etc. Rented PG are charged 6000 per month for a person.
