Remarks
The students have to pass class 12 from the science stream. They have to appear for NEET-UG and then they should score above the cutoff marks. Assam Government releases a merit list based on the results of neet UG. The application form is available in the college administration. The reservation is given to the students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, and EWS Categories.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course because I want to be an honest surgeon. My class has around 200 students and around 30 faculty in each department. All the faculty are well experienced and are doctors. They teach both clinical and theoretical knowledge. The semester exams are conducted every 3 months by college. The exams are difficult to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for admission are around 30k. Mess dues per month are around 3k. The cost of books and uniforms is around 30k. Overall fees are less than private medical colleges. We do get scholarships worth 30k per year from the ministry of the minority. Also, students get a stipend of Rs 31k per month during the internship.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted during the month of November every year. The students union conduct various competitions like the song, dance, arts etc. Many students are involved in social clubs like sports clubs, and song clubs. I am personally involved in an organisation like NMO INDIA. The library has almost all medical books.
Hostel Facilities
I got hostel number 2. My hostel is alloted from the college administration. The hostel campus is very beautiful. In the mess they provide meals 3 times a day. The food is of average quality. Nearby PG and rented rooms are easily available but they are very clean and costly.
