Amit Kumar's Review On Taxila Business School - [TBS], Jaipur

Improvement is never ending process. I strongly recommend to give little more free time to the students. On a general note the college is excellent both for placements and for the one who wishes to start their own business.

I wrote CMAT and scored 99.32%ile. My CAT was little less at 65%ile. I am a Btech and had 2 years of work exp.I applied to three colleges and selected in all of them. After doing a deep research i landed up in Taxila.

The course is extensive and we had final exams every three months. This kept us on active round the clock. Mancomm was a little different than to others subjects. I remember students used to be highly nervous before entering the Mancomm session of Kishore Sir. But today, I know the value of that session.

Generally college provide three internships and all the internships are paid one. I did my first internship with PepsiCo and got 30,000/ for two months. My 2nd internships was with SAIL (Govt of India) and again paid one. I started working on my own business so could not take third one.

Placements are excellent, Students generally get the sectors of their choice. App 45 companies visited campus and hired almost every student who were interested to take up jobs. In our batch maximum was offered by Trident Ltd around 18.0 lac. Generally all students got placed during Dec at more than 5.0 lacs. Godrej offered around 7.0, Asian Paints, Colgate, IOC etc had very good offers.

Almost there were three events during my course. One was the job fairs for the students of other colleges. this fais was organised by all students and we had a gathering of more than 2500 students. then college organised events of Chetan Bhagat and few more celebrities visited college.

Compared to the other colleges of the same status the college fee is less. we paid around 4.65 lacs for full course. and the value for money was better than my others friends studying in others colleges.Hostel fee was 60k per year. For speaking in hindi we paid big penalties.

There was no scholarships from the college side. But some students availed govt and aicte offered scholarships. Loan is easily available from all govt banks. I tool loan from SBI of Rs 4.0 lac. College helps me in getting loan.

Life at college is full of stress. Class time was from 9 morning till 11.0 evening and some time we have taken classes till 3.0 AM. There's no free time. Lot of research assignments and presentations. Our mancomm session started at 10 Pm used to go till 4.0 am. Barring swimming pool and table tennis we never could play any other game.

Hostel was comfortable and very near to the college and fully wifi. Food is average. It was pure vegetarian so students like me needed to go out for non veg food. Study environment at hostel was very competitive as every one wanted to outshine others.

Yes alumni keep visiting for hiring and some time for taking class or delivering some session in the night. Seniors students helped a lot to get adjusted in the environment.

Every three months we had final exams, mid term every 45 days. Exam at Taxila means full one day regiourus testing for each subject. Some time exams were conducted at night on a short notice of few hours. We used to remain ready any time for the exams.

infact all faculties in college were having vast experience across the world. Rajat sir was very good in Marketing, Nigam sir you just can't beat. Naval sir taught Operations Research, Couple faculties have done Doctorate and were very good in research.
