SHUATS Experience

SHUATS is one of India's oldest universities. The agricultural engineering programme at the college was the first of its kind. After completing the admission form on the college website, students must take the entrance test. After passing the entrance test, students are counselled on the college campus, and a seat is assigned to them if they meet all of the eligibility requirements. The GATE exam score is also taken into account, but we must still take the SOETAP (SHUATS Online Entrance Test for Agriculture & Pharmacy). To see if we are eligible for the programme.

The college curriculum has recently been updated to reflect the most recent industry regulations. The college curriculum helps guys understand farming techniques in-depth and also helps us understand modern farming techniques. The college faculty is also very supportive. The faculty is easily approachable; we can approach them for assistance in understanding concepts, and they will assist us as well. The faculty has extensive teaching experience, which is demonstrated in their teaching techniques. The majority of our college faculty members hold doctorates degree.

If you are not interested in an internship, you may submit a written assignment related to your topic instead. The college invites companies to participate in a summer internship programme, but the internships are unpaid. During the internship programme, companies such as Nestle, VNR, Syngenta, and UPL pay visits to the campus.

The college placement offers are adequate, and the college administration is working to improve them. The highest salary offer is approximately 10 LPA, and the average salary offer is approximately 6 LPA. The placement panel is professional, but it needs to improve its placement techniques. Placement drives are held on our campus by companies such as Byjus, Infosys, TCS, Mahindra Wipro, and others.

Our college understands the importance of education and provides various scholarships so that every section of society benefits. College provides scholarships through schemes like Student's Book aid scholarship, Junior Fellowship of I.C.A.R., SC/ST/OBC/Minorities Scholarships of State Government, All India Association for Christian Higher Education (AIACHE) Scholarships, New Delhi, Jindal Trust Scholarships, New Delhi, Jajya Krishi Utpadan Mandi Parishad Scholarships- Allahabad and many more.

The college's infrastructure is in excellent condition. The classrooms are large, spacious, and well-kept. The college library is excellent, and we have a wide range of books available. The college seniors and staff are extremely cooperative and friendly. The college labs are excellent and well-managed. The college strictly enforces a no-ragging policy. Every month, the college hosts quizzes and debate competitions.

The hostel rooms are adequate. There are AC and non-AC rooms available, and the rooms can be shared or single occupancy depending on the price. During my stay (2017-2019), non-AC rooms cost around Rs 26000-35000, while AC rooms cost around Rs 75000/-. The food at the mess is good, but the menu is constrained to certain dishes that you may enjoy at first but become bored with after a few days. The hostel provides all of the basic amenities for students, as well as high-speed WiFi connectivity.
