Remarks
This college takes admission in BTECH course from JEE MAINS whose main eligibility includes 75% in 12th boards. The above entrance's application form can be availed on JOSAA's official website. This entrance include admissions in different NITs, GFTIs and serve as a qualifying exam for JEE ADVANCE. NIT Raipur give SC,ST,OBC,PH(in respective category), EWS (below 100000 and 500000) reservation in seat matrix and semseter fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
First of all I was interested in Electrical Engineering from the start and this college seemed to me as a perfect as it was it Central India and the climate was similar to that is my hometown. Faculty/student ratio is above average, but one thing is that all permanent and temporary facilities are well qualified. Exams in the 1st semester were conducted online and was easy if studied properly. One thing is that, here the administration and professors are strict regarding term papers and projects and attendance.
Internships Opportunities
Many major companies offer internships and placements for students which include famous giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, and different PCUs too. In campus internships are stipend ones but students mainly focus on direct placements.
Placement Experience
During 2nd year students can go for of campus internships but most of the students avail this during 3rd year and on campus placement is organized by Placement Cell of NIT RAIPUR during 4th year. Average is 8.5 lacs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees charged are very nominal if you consider any other private institution. Also they have special fee remission for SC,ST,EWS,PH students. With yearly inflation not much hike was seen regarding cost to study and live but yes if you stay in PGs then it will be higher.
Campus Life
Several fests are being conducted by the administration which include ELECTIKA, SHRUTI, AVARTAN. Institution's library has a huge collection of books covering different subjects with a well furnished Reading room.
Hostel Facilities
All students don't get hostel which is one of the major cons of this college. Getting into hostels is decided by our CPI. Mess for given is quite good which include North, South, Western, Eastern food.
