Remarks
The admission process is pretty easy and there are two ways you can apply to this university. The first is through acpc counseling and the other is through Jossa counseling. There is also another way which is through the Nirma university website in which you have to select the course and there is an application form and fees of about 250-300 is to be paid. (This is only available for some courses). So last I would like to say that the admission process is smooth and is completed with great ease.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the computer science course in particular because I always had an interest in coding and also I was always fascinated with technology. Now the faculty to student ratio is very good as it is about 50:65 and almost all the faculty members are having a Ph.D. degree in their respective fields. Also, it is a student-centric university so in case you are having any academic troubles the faculty makes sure it is taken care of. As for the exams, there are 3 exams per semester having a break of at least two months between them and the difficulty level is medium.
Internships Opportunities
As I have just joined the college I do not have much info regarding the internship offers but our seniors got some good internship offers from companies like google, amazon, Microsoft, isro, etc. Regarding the stipend, some companies provide stipends as high as 100000 per month and others may not provide them at all, at the end of the day it depends on you.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements after getting their bachelor's degree but the university also provides internships in the early years. Many famous companies like amazon, Bloomberg, etc visit the university every year providing an average package of 10.5 LPA and the highest package this year was about 87 LPA. The percentage of students getting the placement is about 90 - 95%. My plans after completing the course are to get a good placement offer and maybe start a business with the skills I learned.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't think that there is any fee hike policy and the fees are about 225000-250000 per year depending on the category you fall in and the fees could be less if you fall under the BPL category. they do provide scholarships but I am unaware of the process and the details. Regarding the job, if you are a master's or doctorate student then you will get a job in the university pretty easily.
Campus Life
There are a lot of fests going on and except that there are many events conducted throughout the year by different clubs and committees. Recently there was a tech-fest held called Anveshan and it was great. There are about 3 - 4 libraries in the university and they are all well equipped with respective books and the environment is also good. The classrooms are also well equipped with amenities like AC, projector, etc and all the labs have properly working computers and have high internet speed. Regarding the sports part, you get emails about it now and then. There are also many competitions held so if you are eligible you can apply easily. there are many social groups such as an Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts, and the seniors also provide you with the necessary notes and study material.
