JNTU Kakinada College Review

The admission process was too complex and after the completion of my board exams, I have gone through the AP EAMCET entrance exam for the selection of the course that o have preferred. Our caste doesn't avail of any reservation benefits... All the details about the application form will be displayed on the AP EAMCET Official Website. I have secured 9014 ranks in this entrance exam and placed in this college... I wish there should be an improvement in the admission process in the aspect of counseling.

I preferred this course as it has a wide scope for the future in the sectors of microtechnology, VLSI design, chip designing, and signal processing in which I was mostly interested...We have one teacher for 40 students. Teachers who are working here are mostly contract-based but the qualification levels are of MSc and Ph.D.. despite all of these the quality of teaching was too good..Mid examinations will be conducted once in every 2 months... Semester examinations will be conducted twice a year... And we have general exams very often ... Even though the paper was too tough to pass the percentage in our course was so good that's about 87 percent...

Yalamarty and Verzeo are the companies that offered internship programs to the students with having pass percentages above 80 and the roles are web stack developer, chip designer, project associate, etc. The stipend is about 15000 per month and the internship program is about 4-6 months. We have to develop mini and major projects to access internship programs...

Right from 4-1, that's from the 7th semester all the students are eligible for campus placements... Wipro, Infosys, Walmart Capgemini, create technologies Pvt Ltd, HCL, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Efftronics, Mind tree, etc.. are the companies that visited our college and made job offers of packages starting from 3.5 LPA to 8 LPA... In our Electronics and Communication Engineering branch around 85 % of students were placed. I wish I should have a better software job that suits my hard work. This is my plan after having a degree in this course.

As it is a government-based one we have to pay 10000rs for every year, 770rs for each semester, and 300rs for the building fund. We have to pay for the textbooks and other college needs. As I am from a government employee family I don't avail myself of any type of scholarship. Most of the students were financially dependent on part-time jobs... Placements for our college start right from 4-1... As I am studying 3-2 currently I didn't get any job on our campus...

We maintain friendly relationships with our seniors and juniors... Fest events will be held once every month.. we have an annual day farewell day too every year... This college mainly lacks infrastructure and accommodation facilities... And we have a few books in our library to read... This college encourages students in all co-curricular activities along with studies.. we maintain a sportive environment on our campus premises.. we organize membership in IETE and IEEE organizations where the roles of students are president, secretariat, treasurer, and volunteer...

Our college doesn't provide any type of hostel facilities for the students.. most of the students are staying in private hostels and rooms where the rent amount to pay was too high. it costs around 50000 per year The quality of food provided was not so good but it was moderate and adjustable... Currently, I was staying in a room which was close to my college...that is in Arundalpet...
