Passing out 10+2 ISC commerce examination is a mandatory criteria of eligibility. The application form can be found at the official college website and the application form is free of cost. The form is opened approximately during the month of July-August.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I am excited to take BCom hons as my accountancy is strong enough and I want to pursue MBA after graduation. Faculty to student ratio is satisfactory. All the faculties are MCom, MBA, CMA, etc. Not very difficult to pass the exams.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Doing a internship of 28 days is compulsory part of our 5th semester syllabus. Many companies from Kolkata provide internship opportunities to our college students. For the internship of a company we have to do many projects to get a better outcome

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of this college is very affordable at a yearly rate of INR 5,000 for three consecutive years. Two scholarship can be claimed by the students, namely, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship and Kanyashree Scholarship for girls.

Campus Life

We generally have many fests every year like freshers, farewell, Holi, summer fest and winter fest. We have library in our college and many books are available for all semester students and we have free wifi.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I was selected to most of the universities except one that is Goenka as it was having a higher eligibility criteria which I couldn't able to meet.
