Remarks

There is direct admission, just pay the fees and get enrolled. No special benifits for reserved categories or meritorious students. To get admission, you can visit the college or apply online through the college website. Eligibility for bajmc is class 12th, passed from any stream. The improvement I want to see - fees should be reduced for meritorious students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I am from the non-medical stream, but still, I choose this course because I wanted to try something new and creative. However, I dropped out of this course & college after completing 1 year, due to personal reasons. The faculty is fine. 3 teachers left the college when I was in 1st sem, and 1 teacher dropped in 2nd sem, faculty vacancies were filled instantly but faculty members change frequently in this course. The boy-girl ratio is very good in this course nearly 1:1. But many students drop out of this course during 1st year. In my batch, some students dropped in the 2nd year also. Faculty members are usually young and master qualified. I would like to mention that we also had a very experienced faculty who had various PhDs and masters from different countries, He is a perfectionist

Fees and Financial Aid

Course Fee is nearly 23k /sem. No financial assistance or scholarship scheme for financially deprived students. In BAJMC, an Unpaid internship may be provided to a few students College placement for BAJMC students is not worthwhile. You may get a job as a reporter which pays 5- 7k per month after 2-3 months of unpaid work. Its better to build portfolio of your special skill that maybe- photography, writing, editing, anchoring etc. And get a good project/contract or job.

Campus Life

3.5

Various clubs are run in pcte which frequently keep organising small events at diff. occasions. 'Kosish' is a mega event organised annually. Dj nights are also organised with pais passes for it. Overall college life is fun. Some clubs are Literary club, dance club, theatre club, music club, photography club, sports club etc. the library has only course-related books, that also for courses like b.tech, pharmacy etc. The classroom infrastructure is very good. Equipped with good facilities. The washroom/toilets are well maintained. You'll get good exposure to extracurricular activities just be active in clubs. Ramp walks are organised frequently.

Placement Experience:

LPU has a good campus placement policy in which the students become engrossed from the seventh semester. Many of the biggest IT organizations such as Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini and thousands of other offers are made during the visits. The maximum salary offered has been 3 crore [ctc] per annum and is averaging around 6-7 lakh per annum. It is notable that 90% of students get placements depending on the program that they take or choose to study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course of journalism and mass communication because since from like childhood whenever I saw news anchors on tv I also thought that I would also be one of them and there way of speaking and handling all the things really motivated me to opt this course and when I entered in this course I got to know all the things about the world of journalism and media . How things actually works. Got to meet my idols of the industry. I feel this thing that choosing this course was my best decision of my life . Because this gave wings to my all the dreams . I think that the subjects are very much good and easy for everyone to study who want to pursue journalism. Teachers should gave some practical knowledge to the students. The timing of the exam is accurate and ok and the difficulty level is also not much like it is which any student can do who have some basic knowledge and information of journalism
