Remarks
Yes, you have to give the SRMJEE exam for it which is held once a year. For being eligible for courses you have to be 12th passed. A good percentage in class 12th is recommended. To find the application form for the SRMJEE exam you have to visit the official site of SRM there you can find all the details. Application fees in my time were around 1000/-. And as during the COVID period, all things are getting delayed so dates for application and exams are changing drastically. So you need to check the official site for that. And make sure you are updated regularly as they may postpone or prepone exams as per their need. In 2021 exam was preponed by 1 month. So you need to be careful. In the SRMJEE exam, they ask easy to medium-level ques. If you have a grip over ncert only then kudos to you...you will be getting a good rank and campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties here are mostly well qualified. Mostly all of them have done their Ph.D. degree. From a student's perspective, they are helping and listening to our problems and taking action accordingly. Teaching is average but slightly on the good side of it. Perhaps you will meet some professors who will try to trigger you down. We have our exams as CLAs which are held monthly and the syllabus is almost 2 chapters in each subject. And at the end of the semester, we have our end sem which is the full syllabus. The passing criteria are 50%. But yes their exams are quite easy. You will get all those exam ques in your lecture notes only. So you don't have to refer to any other book or something like that
Internships Opportunities
As I am in my first year I don't have any knowledge about it. But from my perspective, we should not depend on clg. We should upskill ourselves and grab the internship or placement on our own by going off-campus.
Placement Experience
Placement here is average. Min package is 3-4 LPA whereas the max goes to 11-12 LPA. From the 7th semester, companies start coming to campus. The main recruitment is by TCS and Wipro. I plan to get an off-campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
In 2021 the fees they were charging were nearly 1500000 for four years of BTech including hostel and mess. But this year there is a drastic rise in fees. I don't know why they did that but this year it's around 20 lakhs for 4 years. They hiked 1 lakh per year. Regarding scholarship I don't have any knowledge and as I am in my first year so no job info to tell me about. But the average package goes to 3-4 LPA and Max is 10LPA.
Campus Life
The annual fest here is named Subaru. This year due to some reasons all the annual and cultural fests were canceled so I don't have any info about that. They are conducted around April. The library here is a thing to see. Well-maintained floors and shelves with fully stacked books on various topics. One can get all types of the book he/ she is looking for. It has a separate reading room which is fully air-conditioned. A classroom in some has amenities like a board and a big window from which you can always peep out to see the beautiful scenery. Desks are well maintained and classrooms are also fully conditioned. Sports facilities are there like tennis, badminton, football, cricket, etc. Many clubs are run by our seniors. Some of them are dramatic, music, dance, etc
Hostel Facilities
The most fascinating thing I like about SRM is their hostels. Every room has its washroom (you don't need to wait in ques as that of a common washroom). Mess food is average, not good, not bad. They provide a variety of meals. I don't like the food given on Saturday. Registration for a hostel is online on their site. Hostel fees are 100000 for 1 year inclusive of mess but exclusive of gym and laundry. For that, you need to give an extra 12000
