My experience at Doon Business School

I gave the MAT entrance examination in the year 2016 and scored a descent total after which i looked out for colleges across India only to find out that this is one of the best colleges in India in terms of ROI. Even though i had already completed my graduation from this college, i decided to continue given the educational benefits i experienced in those 3 years like the value added certificates.etc

The institute focuses more upon the practical aspects of transmission and inspiration of knowledge to the students rather than rooting for the rudimentary theoretical process of instruction. The course curriculum is distributed to all the students in the beginning of the semester which allows everybody to assess it and ascertain the curriculum in advance.

Yes our college being one of the best in the country as far as ROI is concerned provides a lot of internship opportunities to the students. If the student performs well during the internship program, they are offered a PPO. Yes, the companies do provides a stipend and it varies from student to student depending upon their capabilities, experience and the sector they are involved in.

The placement and the job opportunities are enormous and makes the college hold a record of 100% placement since its inception. The companies that make a visit for campus recruitment includes ITC, Reliance Brands, ICICI Securities, Lloyds and many more. An average package for an MBA is 4.5 Lacs p.a. and the highest for a P.G.D.M. has touched 23.50 lacs p.a.

The college celebrates many events such as MANFEST, Sports Day, Dandiya Nights, Halloween, Prom Nights, Biz Quiz and Bonfire. The eloquent Biz Quiz is celebrated at city level and Manfest at all India level whose celebrity guest of honor this time was the prominent singer Miss Rupali Jagga, the finalist of SA RE GA MA PA. The chief guest of the manfest was Mr. P.K. Garg, the vice chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University.

The fee structure is absolutely feasible for the students. It ranges from around Re.1,00,000 to Re. 3,00,000 of a course for one year depending upon the course. The fee structure is complementary to the infrastructural facilities and the quality of education the institute provides to its beneficiaries.

The college provides scholarship facilities to the students who have secured good numbers in the entrance examinations. Moreover the college has tie-ups with many reputed banks that offers educational loans to students.

The culture of the institution is diverse and colorful with equal number of students from both the gender. Students from all the religions study together with a sense of inclusiveness . Moreover different activities are held every Thursday and its attendance is also marked which is cumulatively added in the final total. The IT labs possesses all the required facilities needed and debates are held on different kinds of topics ranging from Budget to Demonetization.

The hostel facilities are at par with other residential facilities provided elsewhere. All the necessary facilities like hot water, wifi, cupboards, comfortable table, chairs and beds with mattresses are provided to the students. The students can choose as per their preference whether to go for double sharing rooms or triple sharing rooms with common or attached washrooms. The food is nutritious and well cooked and the mess is hygienic. Besides efficient laundry facilities are provided alongside transportation facilities to Dehradun are provided on Sundays.

The senior students and the alumni are very helpful and as a consequence creates a very supportive and inclusive environment resulting in a sense of belonging. They help the students to cope up with the various kinds of situations they experience.

The exam structure consists of two examinations for the assessment of internals. Moreover there is an external examination from the university which holds the maximum number of marks in the total that is 70. The teachers conducts various assignments, case studies and class tests to ensure that the students get all the information in an interesting way.

I had given a GD for selection process of Doon Business School in Bhubaneswar, Odisha after which i was selected for PI based upon by performance in GD. I gave the Personal Interview in the college premises. Thereafter, i was selected in the institute after being evaluated and approved for my PI performance.

The faculty members are highly qualified and industry experienced who possess great intercommunication and corporate way of interaction. They educate students in a way the corporate sector desires, making them ready for the corporate world. In respect of the needs of the students, the teachers are always there to clarify any doubt and come up with creative solutions to facilitate the students understand concepts in a better way.
