Remarks
The admission is based on the rank secured in JEE mains examination. Anyone who has qualified JEE mains can apply through the JOSSA portal every year. General/Open category candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 45,000, whereas SC, Gen-PwD, ST, OBC-NCL-PwD, ST-PwD and SC-PWD have to pay Rs 20,000. The fee will be refunded if you don’t get any seat in the counselling, even if you get a seat and if you don’t accept it(in the final round) still your money will be refunded. There are benefits for reserved candidates as per govt norms.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the faculties are highly qualified and either has does master's or are PHD holders. Most of them have done their post-graduation from IIT Delhi. Exams were conducted two times in a semester one is a mid-semester examination which is 25 marks and the other is end semester exam which is of 50 marks.
Internships Opportunities
College also helps in providing internships to 3rd-year students. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Goldman Sachs offer internships and may later offer PPO if they like your work in the internship. Roles offered during the internship are software developer, data analyst etc.
Placement Experience
The placements at NIT Delhi are very good. The students who are in the 7th semester are eligible for placements. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, American Express, Deloitte, Tata Power, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Paytm, Oyo, and Samsung visit our campus every year. The highest package offered to date is 39 Lakh by Microsoft and the average placement is 8 lakh Almost every eligible student is placed i.e. the placement percentage is close to 100 %. I joined Tata Power after the completion of my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is decided by the ministry of education. Being a govt institution they cannot hike fees themselves unless they are directed by the ministry of education through any official release. Scholarships are available only for SC and ST students where they get the money equivalent to their tution fee as a scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. There are many fests like Saptrang, Annual sports day are organised on the campus. There are IEEE clubs for electrical and electronics students, and coding clubs for students who love to code. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and whiteboards and enough benches to occupy 60 students. A social group called Udaan is run by the college students
Hostel Facilities
Each student gets his separate bed, one almirah, a study table and a chair. The quality of meals is good and every day there is a different menu depending upon the menu decided by the hostel students. Students have to register themselves for the hostel on the same day they come for admission. Along with admission fees they have to pay 20000 for a hostel once allocated a room.
