Remarks

Where to find the application form, Application fees, and application dates: The College has an online application process. There is no physical distribution of admission forms. After filling out the application form, keep checking the merit list on the College's official website. There is no application fee charged by the college, it is free of cost. Eligibility of the Course: A candidate taking up an honors course in a subject must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examinations. Details of Reservation Benefits: Since I did not avail of any reservation benefit so I don't know about it. The admission process of the College is really good and convenient, I really appreciate it and as of now there are no improvement needed in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of my interest in Commerce. I really like the subjects and the major factor being my interest in it. Out of so many reasons, one of the reasons for me to choose this course is the weightage of this course in the Industrial markets. Hence, there exist more and better job opportunities in the market of b.com. Our college has well-qualified and knowledgeable teachers. They are really well experienced and helpful in every aspect. Their teaching quality is really good. The exams were quite difficult and the pass percentage is around 40%-45%.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

These are some companies that visited our college for internship: TCS, IDBI Bank, VAP Technologies, Endeavour, Vital Waste, Align Infosys, Tejas Ashwini Bajaj, PWC, EY, Axis Bank, KPMG, and Indigo. The internship experience was really good one can get a lot to learn from these internships about this industry. There were roles offered by the Companies like HR, Digital Marketing Executive, Sales Officer, Business Development Executive, Education Program Manager, and Sales Executive. The minimum stipend offered by the companies for the internship program was around Rs1500-2000.

Placement Experience

2.5

As of now, I am doing a Chartered Accountancy course so I am not looking out for placements after completing this course. I just want to complete this course and become a graduate. After the 4th-semester students become eligible for the campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of B.com (Homs.) is Rs41400. This amount is really affordable according to the course and taking into account the faculty and infrastructure, according to me this amount of fee is affordable. This course s for 3 years so the total fee comes to be around Rs130000 for 3 years. The college does provide Scholarships and financial assistance to any student whose family is facing a financial crisis. I really do appreciate this a lot because I, myself have received financial aid from the college.

Campus Life

4

No, I did not face any GD or Interview as during my admission the Covid was at its peak. So, in 2019 I did not get the chance to face any GD or interview. I got admission on the basis of my (10+2) marks.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
