Remarks
Applied at Ramadevi University and the Central University of Odisha. Was offered a seat at both universities but chose Sambalpur University because the faculty are better. Admission is done on the basis of one's performance in the entrance exam. There's no bar on age. One must have a minimum of 50% in graduation. Career marking is also taken into account in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course offered was closely related to UGC NET. The student-teacher ratio is 6:1 Talented guest faculty from various universities are invited every semester National seminars are held regularly in the department Exams are average difficulty and it is fairly easy to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee at the university is subsidized and for people from minorities, the ask is even lower. One can opt for a bus pass at extra cost for the whole year. Financial assistance is provided to meritorious students from all categories.
Campus Life
No fests are held on the campus The department publishes its own journals which are available at the library The department also has a great library that has many titles Extra curricular activities organized by the University do take place There are no social groups or clubs at the university
