I got admission to Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society's Technical Campus Bokaro through JCECE-LE (Lateral Entry) in the computer science branch in the 2nd year directly after my diploma. My overall experience is good and placements are fine.

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally liked Computer Science and was interested in coding since my matriculation. The faculty for the course here is good and knowledgeable. Our classes were held regularly and we were provided sufficient and regular support from our professors.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 76000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We were offered several internship opportunities mainly for java and Python. The companies also offered Intern to FTE conversion after successful completion of the internship provided that you perform well.

Placement Experience

Right from the seventh-semester students become eligible for campus placements. We get offers from Tata group, IB-arts, Justdial, etc. You need to maintain an average of 6CGPA for becoming eligible for campus placements. The average package is 4 to 7 lac.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is moderate at 76000rs and considering the fact that you are provided with good resources for your knowledge and also descent placements, I would rate the fee structure as 3/5. You are also given scholarships.

Campus Life

The cultural fests and events are conducted regularly for refreshment and to cheer up the students. There are various facilities for games be it indoor or outdoor. Also, the library facilities are awesome.

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
