Remarks
To get admission to the Gujarat college, we have to apply through the ACPC website or manually go to college if we don't get by ACPC. The website for the admission process is gujacpc.nic.in which we have to fill required information and documents for verification and admission process. In 2021, the Chemical branch ranks start with 88th rank and go up to 3600th by gujcet+borad result. Reservations benefits like freeship cards for sc/st students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen these courses because I have a keen interest in chemistry and also a developing branch in future with high scope. Student to faculty ratio is 73:2. All faculties are PhD graduates from their respective branches and fields from NIT's/IIT having 5-6 researches done with students. There are three test class tests, a sessional test and a semester-end examination (100 marks) and the paper is of moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
Some companies such as Tata, Reliance, Adani chemicals, IOCL and other chemicals industries offered internships to students where they learned about the ongoing process as helpers in certain projects with a stipend of 9000-10000. Or some can do RnD(research and development ) work with certain institutions by helping in their research.
Placement Experience
After the 5th semester, the student becomes eligible for placement. The average placement is 4-5 lakhs. The lowest is 3 lakhs and the highest is 8 lakhs. The company which offered placement is the Reliance, tata, Adani chemicals, GFCL, HUL, galaxy surfactant, coromandel chemicals, Narmada fertilizers, etc. About 70-80% of students get placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our fees for b.tech- the chemical is 184000/year with another additional cost of the exam and various things. There are four types of scholarship provided by Nirma university:- Merit scholarship (top 5 gets 100000 next 25 gets 90000? and next 25 gets 50000 according to ACPC and jee ranking) Merit-cum scholarship(scholarship given according to annual income with meritorious student). Interest-free student loan Earn while You learn scheme(work is provided like in library and lab for the needy and meritorious student to help financially students )
Campus Life
The various fest takes place between branches and along with Nirma fest like Anveshan, etc. There are various students group such as team stallion, team arrows, RCNI, IICHe and CHESA, etc which are been run by the students. There are various sports tournaments such as inter branches, inter-college cricket football, volleyball, etc. Infrastructure is also best as it provides wifi, the best labs with the latest and costliest equipment, library canteens, garden, sports grounds, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Nirma University has also one PG which allows the student to live there on the campus. The hostel has 2 beds room with ac fitted, personal study desk and balcony. Food is also the best and there is a gym also present on the campus for the building's health. Or Infront of Nirma, there is SGVP gurukul(spiritual organization) that allows students to live there. The quality of food is best and the room facilities.
