Great environment for learning

College management was helpful but at times was irritable. Students were not given much respect though by senior management.

I had to take a CET. I scored a 95 %ile. I opted for this college because it has a great infrastructure, great faculty and a good learning environment.

Course curriculum was standard and at par with the syllabus of B.Tech (IT). The course included subjects like Data Structures, Software Project Management & Quality Assurance and Object Oriented Programming with Java.

Internship was organised at Oriens Infotech Pvt. Ltd. which a partner company of our college. Internship was pretty average and no stipend was offered. The internship was nore like a training of sorts.

Placement opportunities were pretty good as all IT giants visited the campus and hired students in huge numbers. Among the companies that came to hire were Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, IGate and SAP Labs. I joined Cognizant.

The college organises many fest including the cultural fest(Anakhronos) and Technical fest(Edge) which are the most coveted events of the college circuit in Kolkata.

The fee structure was feasible and the whole course cost me under 2 lakhs. The fee is payable at the beginning of each semester and an admission fee of 10000 is taken at the time of admission.

Scholarships are not given out by the college but a student loan would be easily available as the placement record of the college is pretty good.

Gender ratio was almost equal. Parties were awesome.Many clubs were existent ranging from robotics to literary. No politics prevailed at college. Seniors were very helpful and always guided us to make correct decisions

I traveled from home to college as I am from the city itself. But PG accomodation can easily be found around the college for a reasonable amount of money. Average costs would be somewhere between 4-5000.

Techno has excelled at preparing students for success in the IT industry in India. Outside of the usual functions of alumni associations, Techno's Alumni Network is devoted to mentorship and continued learning to help each alumnus reach their full potential.

It was chilled out as Labs were not too hard and exams were pretty lenient. Attendance was never a major issue as more importance was given to learning than attending classes.

All faculty hold atleast a Masters degree are competent enough to impart quality education. Some of the faculty have done pretty neat research work and hold PhD's.
