Admission in B.TECH in U.I.E.T. Chandigarh is on the basis of JEE Mains AIR through JAC Chandigarh Counseling which is conducted by Panjab University every year. As Chandigarh is a union territory therefore there's lot of reservation in U.I.E.T. Chandigarh like Defence quota, sports quota, disability quota, rural background quota, kashmiri migrants quota, etc. Its easy to get enrolled into this college(the topmost college under Panjab University) as there very few colleges in JAC Chandigarh Counseling, if you have secured decent Rank(AIR) in JEE Mains around 30K then you'll easily get CSE in U.I.E.T. Chandigarh.

Currently I 'm pursuing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering from U.I.E.T. Chandigarh. Some Faculties are highly experienced and P.H.D. holder but some are newer not so good in teaching. Most of the faculties are cooperative and would like to help and some are having industrial experience too which can help you reaching new heights in your career. Exams are timely held but results get little delayed.

There are various internship opportunities offered to students in the final year of B.Tech accompanied with industrial training. Highly experienced faculties guide the students through out the training and in there projects too. Projects are industrial based like automobile making, machine making,etc.

By 8th semester students are officially eligible for campus placements. But internship opportunities already starts from 6th semester. Various companies visit our college like cognizant, Deloitte, American Express, etc.The average package offered during UIET Chandigarh placements 2021 was INR 6.96 LPA, which rose by 1.3% when compared with 2020 stats.The highest number of jobs offers were made by Cognizant (72) followed by Deloitte (52) in UIET Chandigarh placement . CSE, IT & ECE have higher placement percentage more than 80-82% in comparison to core branches where placement percentage is lower most of the students opt for higher studies after B.Tech.

U.I.E.T. Chandigarh is one of the cheapest college of India. Its providing B.Tech in less than 4 Lakhs and having greater Return of Investment too. As year by year average package and number of placed are increasing therefore will provide even better Return of Investment in future. For Meritorious students from poor background there are various types of scholarship in this college.

Goonj is the annual fest of U.I.E.T. Chandigarh which is mostly conducted in the month of January. Library of our college is pretty good having varieties of books like all our course related books and also having non - course related books like on the topics of productivity, self growth,etc. Our Library is also equipped with seperate study room. There are various clubs and social groups in our college like star for connecting alumni with college, uiet sports comittee, euphoria ( uiet music club), P club uiet for programming and coding, etc. These clubs are highly active and keep providing various opportunities for students to participate. One of the most important aspect of U.I.E.T. Chandigarh is that it's the part of Panjab University (one of the most renowned University in india) which makes campus life even more interesting.
