Remarks
Entry is via the NEET UG entrance exam , which is conducted in April-May, it is MCQ exam with high level of competition . There are coaching institutes who help you prepare for the exam. The seats are alloted via national all India & state level counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS Course - good academics, highly qualified & experienced faculty, all major equipment available, good & variety of caseload leading to good exposure to various clinical scenarios, hands-on in internship to minor procedures which gives great confidence of being a Doctor.
Internships Opportunities
Internship with the state medical hospital itself, compulsory 12-month period, a rotatory internship in various departments like medicine, surgery, emergency & trauma, pediatrics, ent, ophthalmology, community medicine with a 2 week of rural posting, Immunizations, psychiatry, anesthesia, gynecology & obstetrics. Interns get a good hands-on & are taught by seniors well so as to get the confidence of handling the cases independently.
Fees and Financial Aid
As It is a Government institute, fees is on lower side...being 4.5k per semester , total 9 semesters , exam fees & hostel accommodation charges are extra. In internship you get stipend which is currently 22k per month with good workload & decent working hours.
Campus Life
Good environment with friendly relations between seniors-juniors. A well-equipped central library with the majority of books and a well-planned seating arrangement.Annual cultural fest, sports fest, fresher welcome & convocation ceremony being organized by students every year. College canteens are favorite hangout spots of students. Cheerful & optimistic campus environment.
