Remarks
To apply to any BE course, you need to have taken JEE mains entrance exam. The application form and other details can ne found on JAC Chandigarh website. Admission process is very simple. But it still can be made simpler and easier. Overall the college is very prestigious and is inside campus of the prestigious Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ECE because of my interest in it. And it also offers decent placements. Faculty: student ratio is perfect. Faculty members are mostly PhD holders. Atleast masters is done by every faculty member. Teaching method needs to be improved a little as teachers are behind completing syllabus from their side. Term exams are after every 6 months and they are easy just to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Various internship opportunities are offered to students in the final year of B.Tech accompanied with industrial training. Highly experienced faculties guide the students through out training and in there projects too. Projects are industrial based like automobile making, machine making, etc. If you are able, you can grab as many internships offered by college.
Placement Experience
College has quite good rapport in campus placements. IT branches have highest percentage of campus placements, whereas core branches score little lower. Students from any branch can go for on campus placements in IT companies having well with required skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is very simple. There are fees like tuition fee, exam fee, activity fee, etc. Cost of full course, which I am pursuing will be around 5 lakh INR. College also offers fees hike policy for deserving students.
Campus Life
Life at campus is very lively and lovely. Lavish campus amidst of greenery looks elegant, with Himalayas in background. Infrastructure seems to be well maintained, not very old. There are many clubs conducting recruitments in every semester. No. of clubs keeps on increasing every year. Goonj is the annual fest of U.I.E.T. Chandigarh which is mostly conducted in the month of January.
