Privileged to be a Hitamite

I wrote the TS Eamcet entrance exam and got a seat in this college through the counselling process. The application process is very simple and one can find it on the official EAMCET website. The student has to apply for the exam and the exam centre will be allotted as per the options opted by the student. The student has to give the computerized examination at the allotted centre. Once the results are out students can go through the counselling process where they check all the documents of the students and students can opt for various colleges based on the rank they have secured. There is a reservation for Eamcet, so the college one gets depends not only on the rank but also the category of the reservation of the student.

I chose this particular course out of my interest in computer science. In my college the student: faculty ratio is 60:1 for classes and 30:2 for labs and practical sessions. Most of our faculties are PhD holders and all of them are m.tech graduates. In our college, they follow various student-centric teaching-learning methods other than just chalk&talk. The curriculum that is followed by us is prepared by JNTUH as our college was affiliated with JNTUH at the time of my admission. Our semester usually lasts for 5-6 months. One will be able to clear the subject by just attending the classes regularly.

Our college provides internships in companies like eunimart, xlenz, and Infosys. Our college also gives students opportunities to do internships at IIIT Hyderabad. In fact, I am already doing my internship at IIIT Hyderabad right now.

As far as my stream is concerned almost 50% of students get placed in well-reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc., every year. The highest package so far in our college is 14LPA on campus. My plan is also to get placed while in college.

The fee structure at the time of my joining is 82k per annum for tuition fees and including all other fees, it goes up to 1.2 lakhs per annum. We can avail of different types of scholarships based on the type of seat we got. I personally get fee reimbursement of 35k per year from the state government and a Pragati scholarship of 20k per annum. College is very supportive of applying for any kind of scholarships.

Life on campus is very nice. Our college is full of greenery all around with very beautiful architecture. There are many clubs in our college like let's nacho club for dance, hit band for singing, for a cause- a self-established NGO of our college, rehash for the welfare of animals, toastmasters for public speaking, hackathon club, coding club, GATE club, SSG, EDC, SSDC and many more. Our college gives more priority to sports and extra-curricular activities. The infrastructure is also good.
