VMMC- Where Best Technicians are Nurtured

I got the admission through IPU-CET Paramedical exam conducted by IPU University. You can get the application forms from the official website of IP University. The important dates are available on the website in admission section. Generally the entrance exam occur in the month of June. The application fees was 1K during my time but it may change every year. There are benefits or reservations in seats only for Backwards and EWS categories. And if you are an out of Delhi candidate then you may not get reservation benefits.

I opted for this course because after Doctors it is one of the oldest and respected profession. It allows me to help peoples and make some good impact in their life. And most importantly because of the tag of VMMC. The curriculum of our course is prescribed by IP University and it is good to understand different biological processes. The faculties of our college are very helpful and supportive. Most of our Teachers have comleted their Masters and all of them are Senior Residents and Qualified Doctors. The faculties always give equal attention to each and every student which makes the faculty student ratio 1:1. There are so many faculties in each and every department. We give yearly university exams. And in every year there are 2-3 internal assessments also, and the marks of internal assessments are also counted in our marksheet. If you are an average student then you can also pass the exams if you start studying just 1-2 months before the exams.

The fees structure of our college is like 10K will be the College fee and 16-18K University fee. And in first year you also have to pay 5K as security deposit which is fully refundable after Third year. There are some scholarships provided by central government to help the students financially. The first scholarship is merit based in which you can get 100% refund of your college fees if you scored more than 70% marks in 12th standard and you also have a Ration Card. And if you are a minority or EWS student then you can also get 50-100% refund of your fees. Our college is very nice in everything but there is only one thing which is worst that we don't get any Jobs or Placements from our college. We only get opportunity or you can say Lab Postings to work in SJH Hospital which is attached to our college. But we don't get any stipend for this.

Life at campus is very good for MBBS students but for MLT students there are not so much things. Because it is very difficult for us to participate in different Sports fests and different clubs. There is a fest of our college which occurs every year in the month of Feb-March. The name of our annual fest is Nirvana. Our library is very big and it is of 3 floors. You can get so many Medical and different books of many Indian and Foriegn authors. Our Library is fully air conditioned and you can do self study there. Our classrooms are also air conditioned, not only classes but the whole college building is air conditioned. All the classrooms have smart boards and fully furnished seats and chairs. There is an annual sports event named VMMC-Premier League where students can take part in many Indoor, Outdoor and e-games. Participation for MBBS students is very as compared to MLT students. There are Dance and Drama societies also in our college. There is a particular website for MLT students.
