Thinking about Computer Science Hons. in Chandernagore College? Points to be remember.

You have to have passed in class 12 exam with 45% marks. Also you have to have Mathematics as your subject in class 11 and 12. The admission is done through online portal. You have to give basic and academic details. You also have to upload supporting documents. You don't have to pay anything for filling up the form. Then according to the merit of the student and following reservation rules, a provisional list is published. If there is still some seat left, then another provisional list is published and this process is repeated for a finite time. If you are lucky to get selected then you have to get enrolled by paying fees. The fees is 1100/- for computer science hons. It is not a fixed amount. As I belong from the general caste, I can't avail the Reservation Benefits. But there are seat allotted for Sc/St and OBC student. The admission process is very transparent and easy. The fees of the institution is lesser than the other institution. So I am very much satisfied with the admission process.

I am very much passionate about computers. So I choose this course. In my batch there are 10 student. And in the whole department there is almost 30 students. There are 6 teachers in the computer science department. 3 of them are assistant professor. Other 3 of them are teaching staff. Our HOD had done Ph.D.. Term exams are taken according to the guidelines of Burdwan university. If you are engaged in learning everyday, I think it's easy to pass.

The fees are minimum, comparing to the other colleges. As it is fully government college, student are got relieved from giving too much money as fees. I don't know about any scholarship or financial assistance.

No annual and tech fest happen in our college. College have a central library and each department have their own library. The library have plethora of books. The college student have actively participating in district and state level sports. There is a organization of ex-alumni.
