College, where we dream to start to our career

I had a very good batch mates. so did not worry about college. To be frank college and college management really sucks. its totally money minded, not at all worried about quality of education/ facility. Pls my sincere request do not join dayananda sagar c

I did not have any entrance exams for MSc. But i had taken CAT exams during the year 2004. I had scored very less marks in it. Its really tough if you are not prepared. You will start consuming time to understand the question. you need to have certain calculations on your finger tips. think smart act fast get your answers correct.

MSc course was really good. I have completed my Masters in Microbiology. We had 4 semisters. each semister had 4 topics. I sem: Bacteriology, virology, mycology, statistics and bioinformaticsII sem: Immunology, Genetics, Food microbiologyIII sem: agriculture microbiology, medical microbiologyIV sem: Industrial microbiology, environmental microbiology

We did not have any internships. what we had is only an industrial visit from college (from our own expenses).Industrial visit was only an eye washer. but enjoyed it as a group.

There was no campus recruitment for us at all.We had one company coming for the camps selection call Mac millan an online editorial job. it was completely an out of my career job option.

Biomic and Connexo were two major events during our stay of two year.Biomic we were just participants.Connexo we were organisers. We had got the highest sponserers for the event Connexo.

Fee structure was really bad (may be worst). Since I had got a seat from counseling from university we were supposed to pay only fee to university. but Dayananda sagar college forced us to pay extra 25K. even threatened us of cancelling the admission. Mr Gaali swamy. a very horrible person.

No scholarships or loan offered. These college people are money suckers. You have money they are ready to swallow. No favors for students.

Labs were OK. But we never heard of any sports or extra curricular activities. not even cultural competitions.we used arrange it on our own inviting few lecturers.

I was not staying in a hostel.But my friends used to stay in hostel. They say facilities are not so good but the rated they charge is too high. many left college hostel and searched for a PG. they found PG much more cheaper with good food and amenities.

As of now they have not even invited for any alumina meet. But as alumina charges they had collected hefty amount. our batch friends have a very good network. majority of them are in touch.

College faculty was good. We had three senior lecturers and three just joined lecturers. All were very kind to us supportive and very knowledgeable.
