SVSU is a gem

University has two eligibility criteria, one of them is the Mains score and the university also has its own entrance called SNET. That's the only way one can enrol here as there's no other way of getting admissions here.

In our engineering department, there were over 100 faculties. There are 20 departments in all and if I include them all there are close to 1000 faculties. So the ratio and most importantly the camaraderie are great.

Chetu in Noida and Bhel in Haridwar are among some of the companies where students are sent for internships. We were taught a robotics-based project in our internship. The college took our projects and we were provided internal markings on the basis of that.

Placements are close to 90% as the university tries its best to get students placed. Companies like Infosys, Bhel, Tech Mahindra, Samsung, and Airtel among others are regular visitors to the university. The average placement was around 4 lakhs last year.

The scholarship on percentage is provided as those who get over 8 CGPA get a 25% discount in fees. Likewise, those who represent the college in sports also get a 50% scholarship. Even girls get a lot of scholarships as Save The Girl Child campaign runs on campus every year.

Spandan is the annual fest which is organized for 7 days. From culture to sports all are merged in this one fest and students are asked to participate in at least one of these events. The campus size is 250 acres and has all the facilities one can ask for.

There are 8 boys' hostels on the campus and some of them are named VHR, MLD, Sangha, and Kotnis among others. The hostel rooms are available from single to four-seater rooms. The food quality was average and at least better than various other hostels. The menu keeps changing as per the season. Only veg food is provided at the mess.
