Course Curriculum Overview
I am choosing this course because I am interested in technical courses. The faculty here are very helpful. the requirement of a minimum MTech degree. Some of the faculty at my college are from IIT backgrounds. The examination was conducted twice a year.
Internships Opportunities
Internships were provided by university as BHEL took care of our internship. No stipend was provided but we worked under some of the stalwarts so it was a nice learning experience overall at the internship.
Placement Experience
Students here become eligible after the 7th semester, as by then internships are completed and students who prove their mettle there are hired by them. BHEL is one of the college partners, and it invites nearly 200 students from SVSU every year for an internship. BHEL is the one that hires the maximum number of students, and other companies that take students from our department include Micromax, Genpact, and Siemens, among others.
Fees and Financial Aid
The duration of the B.Tech degree course is 4 years, and the fees of the college, including hostel, are approximately 550000 for 4 years. The college also provides a scholarship facility for those students who get good marks in semester exams. The minimum 20k-30k fees are reduced per year.
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest is Spandan, and it is conducted every year. At this fest, many cultural and sporting competitions are held. Students from all the universities in UP are invited, and last year, around 40 university students came and participated in that event.
Hostel Facilities
There are around 10 -12 blocks of boys' hostels. All the blocks have a minimum of four floors as there are rooms from single-seater to four-seater. All the hostels are named uniquely, as not just the hostels but even the road close to the hostel are named after freedom fighters of India. The hostel fee is 50,000 per year for a four-seater room and 90,000 for a single-seater room.
