HITAM, a complete package of engineering you could ask for..

As I was always interested in Computer Science, I chose this course over others. In our college, a the faculty student ratio on an average lies at 1:45. HITAM is always particular in terms of recruiting faculty. Every detail of the person being recruited is considered so that only qualified people get in. Management also adopts a teaching method in such a way that it suffices all the requirements of students in terms of academics. There would be mid term exams conducted twice in a semester, which would be concluded with end semester exams. It is generally tough to score good in a JNTU exam. However HITAM is now autonomous, where the college has designed the curriculum which teaches about the latest technologies and it is easier to study, understand and pass the exams.

While there are multiple companies which visit the companies to hire students, they usually come with an Internship + Placement offer. MAERSK, Broadridge, etc were few of those kind which offered stipends as high as 40000 per month. Apart from this the CDC cell also helps students apply for internships externally.

Students can start sitting in placements once they enter their 7th semester. However they can apply for internships from second year itself. HITAM has been constantly improving in terms of placements, hence many companies have their campus drives in the college. The highest package received till now is of 14LPA while average being 5LPA. Many companies such as MAERSK, Broadridge, Nalsoft, Evoke, etc participated in the placement drives and hired many students. The Career Design Center always strives to bring in companies for students. Majority number of students get placed by the time they graduate.

The tution fee for my course is 82000. However after new branches namely, AI-ML, DS, CS, etc have been introduced the fee has changed. The transport fee is 30000 per year which is comparitively lesser than many other engineering colleges. College also has Student Support Center, which will financially help students who have genuine concerns. The Career Designing Cell always works on bringing pretty good internships or placements for the students. Students also get an opportunity to contribute their talent to the college, where they get paid for their work.

ELYSIAN is the annual fest of HITAM, which consists of Technical, Non-technical and Sports fests. The fest is usually conducted in the month of April. Library has sufficient amount of resources and books available. Classrooms are spacious and properly ventilated which make it comfortable to sit in. Sports fest happens twice in a year, where students from other colleges also take part. HITAM Toastmasters is a club which helps its members build public speaking, leadership, networking skills. Student Self Governance (SSG) is the main organization that speaks for the institution as a whole. SSG team which is formed by students, plans and organizes many events and fests in the college. For A Cause, an NGO, which is run by students helps people in need and has adopted many schools too. There are plenty affinity clubs which help students showcase their talent and develop their extra curricular skills. Other chapter bodies include IUCEE, EDC which enable students to have an excellent outreach.

One must write EAMCET exam to be eligible for an admission in this college. You will be given an option to opt for different colleges in the counselling process. Based upon your rank, you will be given a seat among the colleges that you've opted for. Generally in HITAM the cutoff stays at around 25000 to 30000 for Computer Science and Engineering.
