College life is the best phase of an individual's Life.

Biotechnology is a new and demanding subject. Doing a bachelor's degree in it will be very beneficial. The eligibility of this course is that the student must have PCB or PCMB in his Intermediate. Here he must need deep knowledge of Biology. He can find the application form on the SAMS Website of Odisha Govt. There he has to fill the choices of his interest and have to apply for the same. Generally, the form fill-up starts after the completion of the 12th Board. Basically, it starts in the month of September. Reservation is given to ST and SC category candidates. Also to Physically Disabled students and to students who have Rajya Purashkar Certificate Or to Ex-service man's children.

After completing my 12th, I was not sure which course I will take. After taking suggestions from my teachers, seniors, parents, classmates and the internet, I decided to choose this degree. As of now, this is a modern one and also a demanding subject. And also for different reasons I took this. Looking into the faculty members, the college has good faculties. Lecturers are quite interactive and also teach to their level best. There are enough teachers for teaching. All the faculties have a master and some have a doctoral degrees in this field. They are immensely talented and are very supportive of us. We have 2 exams each semester. Mid-sem and Sem examination following with the practical examination. A student has to score a minimum of 33% in each of these individually to qualify and be promoted to the next semester. The exams are held between 2-3 months.

The fee structure is quite more because this course falls in the category of Self- financing. Per year one have to pay 18k. Basically 9k per semester. The fees have to pay at the start of the academic year. Many scholarship programs and opportunities are there where students can apply and get scholarships. Generally, our college doesn't have any jobs Or campus after graduation. As because in biotechnology majority of jobs are given after pursuing a master's degree. As our college only has a bachelor's degree, not a master's degree.

Our college often organizes Annual Seminar, In the month of May. Each department have their own Seminars. Annual Function, College fest is also being conducted. Freshers party is given to the new comers by the seniors. Generally, it is conducted in January. And Farewell is given to the final year students by their Junior and is generally conducted in June before their end semester. The college has 3 different big libraries for their different streams, like Science, Arts and Commerce. It consists of various types of journals, encyclopedias, subject-related books and many more. Students can issue books for some weeks and have to return them before their due dates. The classroom is well maintained with good furniture and tables. The college also conducts various sports activities during the year. Like Cricket matches etc. Various cultural activities like Dance, Song, Essay writing, and Debate Competition is also conducted by the college. Prizes are also given on special occasions.
