A review from the first batch student.

Hello there, I have done a diploma in mechanical engineering after that I worked for one year then I wanted to do a bachelor's of engineering so I applied for counselling (for lateral entry) and luckily I got this college. But there are some drawbacks to this college, for example, they don't have proper laboratory and equipment for practicals, they are trying to fulfil the needs. I would prefer you to go for a better option rather than choosing this only because of the name.

I chose this course because I love mechanical engineering. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:60 respectively. The minimum qualification of all the faculties is M.E. but most of the faculties are PhD holders. There are two semesters in a year, odd sems in oct nov and even sems in march and April. Engineering is tough.

Campus placement is fine for the computer science department. Most of the students are placed on-campus and off-campus also. Companies like arus, TCS, Capgemini and there are also some mechanical companies in which students are placed.

From 7 semesters students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like arus, Bharathi cements, doiter has visited for campus placement. Around 70 students have been placed overall. The highest package offered by on-campus placement is around 3 lakhs per annum. I'm thinking of joining an IT company in which I'm placed.

The fees for a year would range upto 18000 to 24000. Scholarships are also available on campus such as minority scholarships ex-military man scholarships sc/st scholarships. Campus placement is fine I got placed in an IT company in Bangalore for 20000 monthly salaries.

As we are the first batch in this college so there are not any tech fests yet. There is a fine library where you can find books by different authors. Sports facilities are available in college like cricket football volleyball Kabbadi.

Hostel facilities are fine and good to go. There are cots for each student and cupboards also. To be frank the hostel food is just ok their menu is normal they provide two times chickens and egg a week. Mess fees will cost you about 3000 per month. All the registration process is easy and can be done in one day.
