Admission is only possible through the Joint Entrance Exam Mains. (JEE Mains) One must be 12th appearing or 12th pass(droppers). The online application form for JEE is filled out. Reservation according to the government guidelines. The admission process is multi-stepped, maybe it could be more straightforward.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course for Electronics and Communication Engg is a little tough. I choose it because we can get IT jobs from this branch. Recently a large number of faculty members have been inducted into the college, therefore the faculty and student ratio has increased considerably. Most of the faculty members are P.Hd in their respective fields. Also, some M.Tech students help us in the Labs. Some teachers are extremely good at teaching whereas some are not so experienced. Term exams are held on time and it's fairly above average to pass the exams. One needs to go through the books and notes provided by the teachers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per semester is 62500. In addition to it, there are institution fees of 25000 which have to be paid by everybody. Along with these, the is a hoste+mess fee which is 16000 per semester and has to be paid by everyone. There is a scheme of fee waivers provided by the central government. A 2/3 fee remission to the students whose family income( father+ mother) is less than 5 lakhs. And a full fee remission to the students whose family income is less than 1 lakh rupee per year. Along with it, the state gov provides scholarship benefits to the students of Jharkhand. A yearly monetary help of rupee 25000-35000 is provided.
Campus Life
There are many cultural fests that are held every year. OJASS is the annual tech fest held in February and March. URJA is the fest for sports that are held every year. Interbranch competetions are held. Along with it, there is Kavi Sammelan, Dancefest, Antrakchari, and coding competitions are held. The new Academic building is the limelight of the college. A well maintained highly technical building with Hitech classrooms with ACs, Projectors, good quality benches, and the rooms are well furnished.
