Remarks

Good - College library was good. we used to get all the books required. Teachers were good and very helpful. Bad - Lack of infrastructure which is still a problem even after 10 years of its establishment.

Entrance Preview

I gave CET exam for GGSIPU university delhi. My rank was in some 2000. I had many options to choose but i wanted to go to a govt. college. So i choose g.b.pant govt. engg. college. When i was in 10th at that time itself i decided to go for B.Tech.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure was good and very vast. We had almost all sorts of subjects one can think related to electronics and communication. Had got lot of opportunities to participate in the extra curriculum activities and exposure to the industry. Got the chance to develop a framework for solving traffic problem in the city which was appreciated by the delhi CM of that time(Mrs. Sheila dixit).

Internships Opportunities

Since mine was the very first batch of the college. So there were no internship provided by the college directly. But they hired some industry experts to provide us some training in our summer internship. So the students have the option to opt for this or they can look out by themselves.

Placement Experience

4.5

We have the record breaking placements. Placement was 200%. Almost each student had 2 jobs in hand. Being the very first batch of the college it was astonishing to have such a placement. Few PSUs like IGL also came to the camps. From private sector there were companies like infosys, minda, hcl, mahindra and mahindra, siemens, synopsis etc. Average package offered was 4.5lakhs.

College Events

4.5

Our college used to organise an annual fest called skasolit, which provides chance to all the students to show their special talents like singing, dancing, martial arts, modelling etc. Apart from this our college also provided us the opportunity to participate in the DCE and NSIT college fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was nominal. Each semester it was somewhere around 20000. Generally people don't have to worry much about their tutition fee. College also used to provide us the scholarship if you perform well. One thing which was not good, was our college didn't had hostel. So students from outside delhi have to look for their accommodation by themselves.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides scholarship for few students, but i didn't get the chance to avail one. There wasn't any loan facility as such.

Campus Life

2.5

Since it was a new college, it didn't had a big campus. Few acres of land was allotted to college but it wasn't constructed fully. Gender ration in out college wan't good. In my particular batch it was just 7 girls among 53 boys. and the ratio was even poor in mechanical branch. College used to provide us ample opportunities to participate in the extracurricular activities and sports like badminton, cricket, TT etc.

Hostel Facilities

1

At the time i joined my college, it was the very first batch and it didn't had hostel. As i am from delhi only so i didnt had to face any problem, but it was a major problem for the students coming from outside delhi. We had canteen where we can get the food, but it wasn't too big.

Alumni/Alumna

Mine was the very first batch of my college. So we didn't have any seniors. We were the alumni of our college but we used to help our juniors a lot.

Exam Structure

We had lot of exams. Every semester we had unit tests twice, semester exam once and practical exam once. It was a bit hectic. But you get to know where you are heading with these exams and can come to the right track. We had labs for all the major electronics subject.

Admission

I gave CET exam help by guru gobind singh indraprastha univeristy delhi. I filled the form online. After the exam, there was a counselling help by the university and based on the ranks you have the options to choose the college and the stream you want to opt for. I opted for electronics and communication as i always had interest in chips and circuit designing.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was good. Apart from 1 or 2 teachers everyone was very much interested in helping the students to achieve their goals and teach them the subjects in the best possible manner. Most of the faculty members were appointed through UGC. and there were few based on contractual basis.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
