Remarks

Overall the whole experience was good. They are improving a lot and have developed considerably in the recent years. They are on their growth track and will soon be one of the best institutions in the country. I wish them good luck.

Entrance Preview

I didn't have to write any exam. I just approached the college management and I was offered a seat based on merit, with scholarship.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course that I took, B.E. Mechanical Engineering, was well structured, based on the Anna University syllabus and also had a lot of Industry exposure. It covered a wide range of subjects from basic Maths, Physics and Chemistry to Engineering Drawing, Machine Drawing, Design of Machines and Other components, CAD/CAM, Fluid dynamics, Fluid mechanics, Dynamics of machinery, strength of materials, engineering materials and also extended to Management subjects like costing, project and product management, engineering and operations Management and materials Management. We also had subjects on operations research and research methods.

Internships Opportunities

The college allows aspiring students to choose their internships and thereby serve the term. The stipend conditions are usually up to the students.

Placement Experience

2

Placements and job opportunities are on par with many other institutions. There is a separate team of faculties working tirelessly towards achieving better academic and placement results. There are many students who get placedevery year. Though most of the companies that visit are of the IT sector there are many core companies that visit as well. And as all of them are allowed to attend interview with the IT companies, the placement record of maintained quite high every year.

College Events

3

A lot of Intra and Inter departmental and collegiate events, both technical and cultural were organised every year. We also had the annual college fest and the cultural events which were scintillating and boasted huge crowd turnouts. I was honored with the President posts of many of our collegiate societies and student chapters of professional intuitions. I was very active in organising and participating in many of the events both under the collegiate society banners and the student chapter banners.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is according to the University Board's guidance and norms. It is fixed at an appropriate level and there are anyways many scholarship programmes and fee discounts for top performing students in both academic and extracurricular activities. Sports quota was a major advantage for students with extraordinary sporting talents.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was offered a merit scholarship for my good scores in higher secondary school examinations. Many other students were also offered the same. There are other internal year-on-year basis schemes as well.

Campus Life

4

The campus life was cool. There were equally as many young men as there were young ladies. There was no discrimination of any sorts and ragging was banned as well. There were students from various states, religions and walks of life. There were a lot of interesting extracurricular activities, something or the other always going on in some part of the campus to help the students keep them on their toes. We had loads of opportunities to always exhibit our talents and also keep us busy, vibrant and enthusiastic.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel and mess facilities were adequately provided and maintained. Food was properly served and frequently checked for its quality. Hostels are always sharing. There would be a maximum of 4 students per room. The rooms will be fully furnished and bathrooms will be shared between rooms on each floor. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Food in the mess is also very good and nutritious.

Alumni/Alumna

They are setting up a new, innovative and a developed alumni network which will help better connectivity and networking with all the Alumni.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs were scheduled adequate. Neither hectic nor too lethargic. They had a structure and stuck to it. Labs were well equipped and maintained by experienced professional laboratorians. We had proper access to all the equipments we need and we were also trained to use them by experts and professionals. Our lab courses were fun, informative and knowledge oriented them just a mere activity.

Admission

Not so tiresome. I was told about the institution by one of my relatives who got to know from one of his friends at work. I just approached their admissions office. Showed my marks and other educational qualifications until then. They were impressed and gave me a merit seat with scholarship, in the Mechanical Engineering department.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty were very experienced, efficient and able. They were all well qualified and mastered their subjects. They had vast knowledge about their subjects and other topics as well. They also had them updated with the latest technologies and inventions. They tried to impart knowledge to is rather than just lecturing. I was able to maintain a very good rapport with all my faculties and hence gain a vast amount of knowledge from their expertise and experience.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
