Remarks

Education wise its good. But the life that I had in college was very disappointing. I don't think studies alone could make a man successful social life too is very much important.

Entrance Preview

I did not take any entrance exams. I had 80 percent marks. I opted for this particular college because the college had a very good rank and the admission was assured if you book the seat earlier.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was very well structured. During our first week of college itself, we were provided with the 4-year course curriculm, which is similar to some of the highest ranking universities in south India. The course content was so deep and challenging which maintains the research standard. We had also lots of elective subjects about jet propulsion and quality assurance which could be useful for many.

Internships Opportunities

I don know the situation now. During my studies, I think the college was not providing internship opportunities for students.

Placement Experience

4

The placement opportunities were very good. Almost all the students who had no arrears got placed. Some of the companies that came to our universities where Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Mahindra etc and the packages they offered were around 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs.

College Events

0.5

technical cultural and management festivals were of internationals standards. I have never seen festivals organized so well in any other colleges. But there is a very big disadvantage. boys and girls are separated with a big wall, thy are not allowed to speak not allowed to use mobile phones. we were even searched individually to make sure we don't have mobile phones which felt very strange for me. and I never attended any event festivals after that despite the international standards.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. The college has provided free education for many who are from poor backgrounds which are respectable. The bus costs, food for everyone was included in the fees. If not considering the donation for getting the admission, the fee structure of one lakh per year felt very less compared to other colleges with similar standards

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not heard about the loans offered y the college. But I know that the college is providing free education for many from poor backgrounds

Campus Life

4

No campus life in Sathyabama university. Gender ratios are almost equal but you can get expelled from the university if you speak to your opposite gender. Student diversity is pretty high. No parties or fun in the campus, study get a job and leave. There was no politics on the campus or any differences based on ethnicity or religion.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are very crowded and strict. Even though it's very cheap, not many prefer to stay in the hostel because of the strictness there. we were not allowed to go out without the permission of parents and the parents have to send a fax for that. and going out of the hostel for more than 4 times a month is not possible even with parents permission.

Alumni/Alumna

I did not find it helpful. Maybe it's my fault because I am not active in the alumni networks. College seniors are helpful most of them guides you if you have any doubts. All my contacts to seniors were personal one and not via the college alumni network

Exam Structure

Exams are very frequent and it left most of the students with a hectic day. But I don't find it at a disadvantage because the harder an exam gets the better the students study, provided there is some social life in college. Labs were just once in a week and was chilled out.

Admission

I got the admission via an agent. All the important documentations were done by the agent for a fee. I only had to go to the college once just to pay the admission fees as well as the hostel fees. The administration was very friendly and organized, even with the large inflow of students everything was seamless and admission procedures were hasslefree

Faculty

2.5

Most of the faculties are very well qualified to teach the particular course. But the attitude of many towards the students is worst. The strictness is too much and the overpressure that the students get from other departments are ridiculous. I have been even punished when I could not submit the lab assignments at the right time even when I had chickenpox. I have even waited outside professors room for one full day just to get a signature in lab records. This is the attitude of faculties, but I have to assure that the knowledge that they possess in their subjects are very good.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.
