Entrance Preview
I took CET and my ranking was around 30,000 i opted this college as i was interested in mining this is the only pvt college in karnataka to have mining branch and its ranked at 6th place in vtu once we go and select the college in cet center they guide us to college were dedicated staff for following help us through admission process .
Internships Opportunities
Companies that came for internship were beml and coal india they offered me around 3000 it was really helpful to know the functioning of both organisation they gave us training and helped us with practical experience we really loved it .
Placement Experience
The institute has an active Career Guidance and Placement Cell. It focuses on overall development of students personality by organizing behavioral skill and human relationship Development Programs, Motivational Lectures, Group Discussions and Entrepreneurship Development Program and we have a dedicated placement cell at our college. last year in mining out of 50 strength 30 got placed in reputed companies most got a approximate package of 5-6 lakhs and three outstanding students got placed at vedanta mining group the package for them was around 24 lakhs per year.some even got job offered at indian cements,ramco package was around 4lakhs.
College Events
Mining Dept.Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, KGF participated in XPLODE 2015, a National Mining Technical Fest held at Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi, Goa on 27th and 28th March 2015. we had to travel to goa it was a wonderful experience and every year they celebrate gold rush its a biggest college fest and there will be lot of events like face painting,quiz,d j show,dance,food stalls and lot of fun filled activity they give equal oppurtunity for the students to participate. they hold technical seminar were people from other college participate and win cash price.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are calm and cool we have really good time around them no incident of ragging takes place and strict action are taken incase of incidents of ragging we have dr ttit alumini association in linked in some times the alumni comes and meet us share their job experience they organise a special meet for them.
Exam Structure
The exam's are according to vtu time table as we are affiliated to vtu and to be frank it depends on the exam for some exam it will be normal and some will leave us exhausted like math .
Faculty
The faculty are very friendly and understanding they help us to clear doubt regarding subject after college hours and standard for the education set in our college is really high as i'm from mining department has a strong industry-institution interaction
