My Doctoral College

Our college is doing great. Every faculty are too helpful. It is a new campus, so i want to see better facilities soon.

I had cleared IIT JAM in MSc with 164 marks, and for Phdi had cleared CSIR-UGC net with 94 marks. and Gate exams. I wanted to be a researcher that is why I choose this course. I had seen a good Professor here so i joined here.

This is well balanced course. First year devoted to course work, where one have to take 5 course. We get through the process one must need to 7 point. Then research works started. Self study and discussion with guide. Then a registration seminar to become senior research fellow .

I had cleared CSIR-UGC exam so i get stipend from UGC. I get 25000 per month. I get 25000 for the now, which will be for the first 2 year then 28000 for the last 3 years.

I am from Science back ground. After completing phd we will get job in colleges, universities as a professor. As a professor, our salary will start from 60000. There is lots of opportunities to get a job after phd. Generally a student with phd degree have quite a good future

Main fest is Anwesha which helds every years. It is a must attend event for all students. The exposure it gives is just irreplaceable. It is a perfect combination of fun and technology. With the event expanding its horizons, students from all over India are being given a chance to be a part of something grand.

All students of the Indian Institutes of Technology Patna (IITP) whose annual family income is less than Rs.9 lakh will be eligible for interest-free education loans for a period of five years, the human resource development ministry said on Thursday. Earlier, the interest subvention scheme was for students whose annual family income was Rs.4.5 lakh.

'Anwesha', is IIT Patna’s annual 3-day techno-cultural festival organised by the student community. Indian Institute of technology Patna each year celebrates its Technical Fest, christened as ''CELESTA'. This is a great beginning, which strives to inculcate interest in young minds to pursue technology and make it their passion. It was started in 2008 and since then it has gained unmatched popularity. It is a cultural celebration held around 'Diwali'. Beautiful decoration through lights added with fantastic cultural performances makes IIT Patna really reverberate with joy during the ‘Reverberance’. The Students' Gymkhana Building, situated in the IIT Patna hostel compound, has a synthetic badminton court and a gymnasium. In addition, the students have access to a basketball court, a volleyball court, table tennis tables and a football-cum-cricket ground within the transit campus. State-of-the-art facilities for all sports are planned at IIT Patna’s main campus in Bihita. We have good gender ration in campus. There is no such problems.

IIT Patna currently has one boys' hostel and one temporary girls' hostel in the campus. It also has necessary arrangements for married research scholars. More boys and girls hostels are in the process of construction. Boys' Hostel has two mess halls on the ground floor and girls' hostel has one. They provide breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Messes follow a specific menu for the week. Every month, the mess menu gets changed. Coffee/tea is provided in the breakfast and snacks time.

I have talked with some seniors, they are really helpful. They guide us to choose courses. They guide us in our research talks, ideas.

For btech there is 10 semester in 5 yeas. Each sem has 5 courses with compulsory and optional. Each course has mid sem, end sem and class tests. For mtech its 4 sem in 2 years. For phd we have 5 course in the 1st year ascourse work. Next 4 years are for research.

I had Submitted application for phd course. I got my name in the shortlisted student list. I came for the selection process. I had cleared the written test and then interview. I got selected. The administration are very good, i had a problem in the application form. The phd coordinator helped me through out the process.

Every prof. are highly qualified. They have done their phd and post doc from IIT's and foreign universities. They usually take the phd courses to motivate us. Our dept. is very friendly, we can discuss, share our lesson our life with them easily. They share their experience with us.
