There are only good things about NIFT but what society thinks about a NIFT student is all about Girls, drugs, booze, but that's because of some people.
Entrance Preview
NIFT has its own entrance exam which consists of CAT (Creative Ability Test and MAT (Mental Ability Test) i got 232 all India Rank and I took fashion communication because I have interest in graphic design and fashion journalism.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is really interesting and different, here we don't have exams rarely few all we have is submissions, means we will get some assignment that we have to do and submit so our 60% marks is internal and at the end we have jury and in few subjects exam in which we will be evaluated for remaining 40% mark the faculties here are really good, they treat us as their friends and not students.
Internships Opportunities
Well I didn't have my internship experience but for internship we get offers in all the big brands of clothing, everything related to fashion industries then fashion magazines like vogue etc etc well i have no idea about the stipend but its pretty manageable.
Placement Experience
We have 100% placement and all big clothing merchandise come to us for placing us zara, forever 21, Manish malhotra, sabyasachi etc.
College Events
Spectrum and converge are the festivals which are awesome spectrum is like all the college in that city participate in that it held every year in Feb in Kharghar campus, last year sunburn concert happened in the campus and the another one is converge which is inter NIFT competition in which the whole 15 campus comes together and participate.
Fees and Financial Aid
NIFT has its own merit Cum Means scholarship is available for those whose family income is less than a certain amount also there are plenty of scholarship for SC, ST,OBC and handicapped.
Campus Life
Gender ratio for NIFT its different here the girls population is more than boys population very different from other engineering collge 70% are girls and rests are boy which guys really enjoy as sehzada NIFT is a party college we have parties for every celebration it starts from fresher's party official then Unofficial then spectrum then post spectrum etc party is a life for NIFT ians.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels 9 out of 10 fee is a bit high being a govt college also the fee is very high mess food 8 out of 10 but student here stays in flat which they share among their friends.
Alumni/Alumna
Many of our aluminies have made a really good position in fashion industr we have designers such as Nikhil Tanna, Riddhi Siddhi they produce dessses for the Bollywood celebs i personally didn't met any of them but Nikhil tanna inspires me from his Fox Traveller show Style and the city.
