SIMCA, Narhe Pune is best for MCA

SIMCA college management is good. They take maximum efforts to invite companies. They have separate placement cells for MBA and MCA courses.

I got admission in SIMCA from MAH-MCA-CET 2006 entrance exam. My score was 98.41 Percentile. Out of 200 I scored 140 marks. I opted this college because it had very good placement record and that proved in 2009 when I got placed in Syntel even in peak recession.

This college is affiliated to Pune University so syllabus is decided by Pune university. Pune University syllabus is revised once in every 3 years. Pune university is one of the best universities in india and worldwide. All the subject curriculum is according to industry best practices.

SIMCA invites very few companies for internship but many companies for placements. They invites Patni Softwares for internship.

Below is the list of companies visited in 2009. Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Satyam, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, Hexaware, Cisco etc. Average package offered was: 4-5 lakhs per annum. They invite companies based on their merit system. Once a candidate is selected in one company, they don't allow that candidate to sit in any other companies so that other student who has not placed yet got a fair chance.

There are many events held in our college like. Induction program at the time of admission for both MBA and MCA colleges. Programming competition for MCA students. Dance competitions at college and then inter college level. Annual function of Sinhgad education society.

In 2009, i think it was very feasible but later they increased fees. In 2009, MCA course fees was just Rs. 27000 per Annum. But from 2010 onwards it is around Rs. 1 lakh per Annum. But still i feel that according to other deemed universities, this fees is still feasible.

I do not have any idea of loan as i did not availed it. I do not know about scholarships as well as i did not availed it.

SIMCA has very big campus. In same campus, MCA, MBA, PGDBA, MBBS, BED and BDS courses gets conducted. It has its own football ground and basket ball pitch. Campus has two separate canteens. It has hostel facility as well. There is a good market near by to hostel to buy basic things. Around 3 kms away there is big market.

Hostel and mess are very good. In each hostel room they keep 4 students. Hostel rooms are quite big enough and each student gets their own study table, bed, and Almira. Mess food is good and edible. On each weekend, they keep special food. I had a good experience staying in a hostel.

SIMCA invites us every year for alumni meat. Whom so ever is available and has time, goes there and meet current batch of students.

MCA exam happens in semester system. Once in six month. MCA is a 3 year course, in which we have 5 semester exams and last semester is internship training in some company. In last semester, we have to develop a project in some company and submit its report in college.

In MAH-CET, non maharastrian candidates has 15% reservation in college seats. After getting your score in MAH-MCA-CET you need to fill an online form on http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in website and give your preference of college from 1 to 10. I gave SIMCA as my second preference and i got it because of my good score. After this directorate of technical education, Maharashtra allocates you college based on your score. Once you got final result of selection process and received the name of college, you have to submit your documents and specified fees in college till a specified date.

All the faculties in MCA course are at least post graduate and our HOD was PHD in computer applications. SIMCA recruits faculties based on proper interview process and some of the faculties are even guest faculties from best in market. We got good teachers in all the subjects.
