Remarks
You should apply for the AIEEE exam, which is conducted by Amrita University, and you should get a minimum rank of 2000 to get into an ECE course. You can also apply through your main percentile and you should have at least 85 to 90 points above presentation to get into any of the courses.
Course Curriculum Overview
Amrita offers almost every branch. It also offers a hybrid branch in electronics and computer engineering, which is my branch. It comes under the EE department. It is a combination of CS and EE courses. Finally, coming to faculty, there are experienced faculties there whose teaching is good and understandable.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are very good here at Amrit. Many high-grade companies are in tie-up with Amrita and select the students for internships. The facilities also keep their students as assistants for their research work, which shows a good student-teacher bonding.
Placement Experience
As i am still a first year student I don't know much about the placements but as i listened from my seners the placements are good and almost everybody gets a internship offer in their third year. Collage also prepares students for the interviews from their 6th semister.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on the rank you get in the AIEEE exam. It is divided into 3 different slabs, and based on your rank, they will allot you a slab. Each slab is required to maintain some GPA criteria to continue to next year.
Campus Life
Coming to campus life, Amrita is a bit strict compared to other colleges. It is strict in terms of outing and all, but it is liberal when it comes to club participants and academics. They will encourage everyone to participate in every club. There are approximately 40 clubs and they are divided into two categories: technical and cultural clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel's are good. They will keep first years separate. The food is okay. There is no non-veg. It's a pure vegetarian college. The rooms are also good; there are four members in each room, and the facilities are worth the fee.
