Life at IMSEC

Being a local resider I got direct admission by visiting the college premises, based on my marks scored in PCM. If you are an outsider you can get admission based on a common entrance test and you'll get the stream according to the percentage scored in the examination. For direct admission, you can visit the premises after your board exams are over. Direct Admissions are limited and all the leftover seats are reserved for students getting admission through the entrance test.

I chose Information Technology as I was interested in this field there are many other branches to choose from according to interest. Students to faculty ratio are average. They don't have a good faculty very few of them are the ones you would be interested to study with. Most of the teachers are P.Hd teachers and the rest of them are Masters's Graduate. the college is affiliated with aktu university they conduct term exams every 4-5 months and the college conducts exams every 2-3 weeks with a lot of workload and assignments that are to be submitted on time. it's like another school to go to. You cannot enter without a uniform. They treat you like a school kid.

Many internships are provided by the campus it's up to you to get it or not. Stipend internships are of 10-15k. But you must know the skills required. Some internships are like they ask us to pay to join them and I think it's of no use because we can get one outside the campus also based on our skills.

Students are eligible for college placements for 7 semesters. If you want to join or get an opportunity outside you can join it only after 6 semesters as college won't provide NOC for joining. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Uflex, and Genpact visit the college campuses for recursion. For getting placed you must have 65% all over without any backlogs.

Fees are moderate. You can pay in one go or two halves. Scholarships notices are provided by the college at the beginning of each year. these are the government provides. If you get one you have to pay only half of the fees to the college.

Many fests are organized by the college in different fields like sports, social and technical. Books are provided for each semester. it's not compulsory to issue them if you need them you can get the whole set for the semester which you have to return after the semester gets over. The college has a spacious library with centralized ac and all the books related to all the courses. The college has a team for every sport and tournaments are also organized. There are many clubs according to the interests of students.
