Remarks

Best medical facility in North. It have all the super specialities now.

Entrance Preview

PMET... One have score more than 70% at least to go through. Topper's earlier opt government medical college as they are cheap but now adays people prefer dmc because of it facilities though it's quite costly.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was good but less research based. Basically focused on disease and treatment part. It took 5 years of hard study starting from anatomy and then studying drugs and there mechanism of action and various drugs used for various diseases. After that subjects like medicine surgery and other came.

Internships Opportunities

One year compulsory internship was there and around 4800 rs per month at time was paid to every interny.

Placement Experience

There is no such criteria among doctors for placement. Many get government job after clearing exam and many get post graduation courses after post graduation exam. But after doing mbbs one can easily get job at any of the private hospital and they pay handsome for the work.

College Events

Ectopia was college's own cultural festival usually in February and Nozit was sports festival in June. Besides this In regular basis continuous medical education CME were there on latest topics and latest advancement in medical fields which are quite good for all to update with time.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's a private medical college and quite expensive. Now adays the starting fee is 4 lakhs approximately in mbbs and 6.5 lakh in post graduation courses and fee increase 10 percent every year. This is only tution fee and other payments like that of mess and hostel and exam fee are different from this.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such facility available in private medical college. Loan facility was available by banks as study loan. Scholarship of any kind was not provided by college and neither by University to help weak students. People from weak background usually study there by opting loans from various banks.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 50:50 and because it's a private medical college so mostly rich student come here now adays. Debating was usually seen during cultural festival and that too on hot topics at that time. People from every religion and economic status study there and all were happy.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel was quite good and mess was good also. Food was awesome. Employees are there for cleanliness and on daily basis hostel was cleaned including mess in day and evening time without any gap. Mess was neat and clean and food served was good and healthy options were also provided as per demand too.

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction with seniors depends on one. In overall it's quite good. Seniors are helpful especially during exams. Teachers are also nice and helpful and many are quite friendly.

Exam Structure

Toughest exam among all courses is of mbbs. One have to study days and nights during exam period to get through the exam. Exam have two parts theory and Viva. One have to clear both the exams separately. Minimum of fifty percent marks are required to clear both exams separately.

Admission

Notification was released by BFUHS Faridkot and after that an exam was conducted by University that is PMET and merit list was prepared based on marks and counciling was done at BFUHS at Faridkot and after that college was allotted depending upon rank and choice.

Faculty was good and highly qualified in all aspects. Each field contain highly qualified doctors plus they are teacher too. For every year different doctors appointed for different courses depending upon there field of specialization and they took classes.

Curriculum was not an influence to be specific for me to choose MBBS, it's my father's dream to see me as a doctor As mentioned already curriculum is tough , thereby it prepares us to be very very good doctors..
