Remarks
I applied to a lot of colleges in Kolkata under Calcutta University. I opted for BESC because it has the most amazing practical labs which are very essential for courses like Physics honors. Also, the faculty members are very knowledgeable and good teachers. BESC put out merit lists first. I knew with my grades I will be up for their scholarship program and will have to pay only Rs. 20000 for 3 years. I immediately took this opportunity.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always loved Physics. Till 2021 there are was 6 faculty members in the Physics department. There were 25 students in my batch so the faculty: student ratio boils down to 1:4 which is pretty good. The faculty members all have Ph.Ds. I hardly know any fellow college that took their term exams as seriously and timely as BESC does.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements in the 6th semester. I did not apply for campus placement because I wanted to pursue my master's. I have a knack for an MBA and in way of preparing for it.
Fees and Financial Aid
I opted for Merit Scholarship. Many companies like TCS come to campus to provide graduates with decent jobs. I did not apply for placement because I wanted to pursue my master's. I know people getting jobs in campus placement so overall it is pretty good.
Campus Life
Campus life is very very nice. It won't be enough appreciation of how good the college campus is. There are tons of clubs which people join. They encourage students to take part in extracurricular activities.
