Best college for this course and great learning oppportunities!

The overall admission process was very good. Eligibility for Admission is 60% in 10+2 and must qualify IPU-CET. The application can be filled out from the GGSIPU website and the fee is 1200 for the application and 1000 counselling fees. Registration and Application filling process usually starts in March-April and IPU-CET happens in June-July. as VMMC is a government college so, it accepts Reservation policy and students can avail of reservation benefits. I am an OBC candidate so, I got benefit in my admission as I got admission with a high rank in IPU-CET.

This course is for 3 years and each we have to study 4 subjects. The course curriculum is according to the latest Education policy. I personally chose this course because firstly, it was in VMMC, one of the best medical colleges in India, and secondly, it has a huge scope in future as new jobs are regularly coming in this field. The faculty at VMMC is very professional and well qualified. Each has a doctor's degree like MBBS, MD, or PhD. Here, teachers teach a topic in an interesting way so that every student understands well and must clear the topic in their head. In my batch, there are 34 students. Each year there is 2 internals scheduled with practicals and there is also an Annual exam, only one time at the end of each year.

There are no placement opportunities in the Medical field, you have to find yourself a job or you can create job opportunities. Here in VMMC, a student have to do internships known as Lab Postings along with their classes. The students don't get paid or receive any kind of stipend for this internship but they get to learn many things and with the help of these Postings, he/she becomes Industry-ready. The student gets a Certificate of internship at the end of the course along with the Degree.

Fees of the VMMC for the course B.Sc, Medical Laboratory Technology 10000 per year and 16000 as the university fees and 5000 as security. The security of 5000 will be refunded after the course will end. One can apply for a scholarship based on their 12th percentage, it is called Merit Scholarship in which 100% of the college fees will be refunded and the other scholarship is for Minorities like OBC, SC and ST or EWS students in which he/she can get 50%-100% refund of their college fees. We have a type of internship which you can also say as Lab Postings and it happens with our lectures. In these Lab Postings, students have to work with other professional Lab Technologists in the Safdarjung Hospital which is attached to our college and the students have to deal with various jobs such as Sample Collection, Blood Grouping, etc. Students don't get any stipend for these lab postings but get an internship certificate, which they can use in getting better jobs and salaries.

The campus is very good as the infrastructure of the whole college building is amazing, it is fully air-condtioned and in each lab, there is high-tech equipment with safety measures, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, etc. The fest that happens every year in VMMC is called NIRVANA and it happens every year from February-March. The college Library has a separate 3-floored, fully air-conditioned building and has a ton of medical books by International and Indian authors. Every classroom in college has AC and also has a Smart Board/Projector. There is 2-3 small grounds/space for playing different kinds of sports such as Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, etc. Also, there is a sports fest known ad Vardhman Premier League, that happens every year in April.
