Good College With a Decent Placement in IT companies

The admission process is smooth. JSS Academy Of Technical Education, Noida comes under Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. It takes admission through UPCET counselling based on JEE scores. Counselling dates come after the JEE exams. The counselling almost goes up to 4-5 rounds. Students having JEE rank below 62000 (For Home State and General) can easily get admission to CSE. In another state, it is very difficult to get admission. You need to get around 50K rank to secure a seat in the CSE branch. Students can also take admitted through the management quota. This means students have to pay an extra amount in addition to the fees. The extra amount depends on the branch.

I chose CSE because of the placement. The average placement for the CSE branch is about 7.2 LPA (This Year). The faculties are very good. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching method is also very good. They start from a basic level and gradually an advanced level. one problem is that academic exams occur frequently. we have to give almost 3 sessionals (Internal) within a semester and the number of the class test depends upon the teachers. Exams are easy to pass.

The college does not provide any internships. Although we can get by applying through direct application. college does provide assistance in finding internships. Mini Projects are made by students every semester and a major project has to be created at the end of a year.

College Placement is very good but only for CS/IT not for core branches. Hardly 5 or 6 companies visit to hire students from core branches. The average placement of CS/IT is about 6.4 LPA. On the other hand core branch placement hinges between 4 to 5 LPA. This year about 271 companies visited and almost 624 offers were offered. Almost 63% of the students are placed this year. The highest on-campus placement was about 27.83 LPA.

Fees generally do not hike. It remains Constant during the entire course. the fees of this college are about 4,95,000 INR for B.Tech. In addition to fees, about 8000 are charged as University Exam fees for a year. The scholarship is provided by the UP govt. not by this college. There exist some FEE WAIVER seats. Students taken admission on FEE WAIVER seats are exempted from paying Tuition Fees.

Annual Fest is conducted on a very large scale for about 3 days. The name of the fest is ZEALICON. This year GURI was the highlight of the fest. JSS Library is very good. It contains books related to every branch. Even though we do not have to purchase any books, all the books are provided by the library. Library s fully equipped with AC. Students often go there to do self-study. The classroom size is very normal. No AC is present in the classroom. The classroom does not feel like a college classroom, it keeps us reminded of our good old days. The sports facility is not good here. Although the ground is good the playing amenities are not present. There are various clubs present which organises workshops, and events frequently.
