At personal level, after doing graduation from IGNOU my life has changed for the better. Studying for 3 years with IGNOU I found the following merits and demerits: MERITS: the course is very flexible and caters to the needs of a student. The fee is nominal. Study material is of best quality. Helpful staff at IGNOU study centres. DEMIRTS: 1. In absence of consensus the classes dont take place and a classroom atmosphere is missed. (this happened in my course…!!!) 2. In Correspondence courses there is a lack of mentorship and dearth of guidance for the future of the student. CONCLUSION: IGNOU provides one of the best platforms in the country to fulfill the desire of education of an individual. More improvisation on technical courses can definitely help the students.

For MCA, Admission in IGNOU requires 'Any Bachelor's degree of minimum 3(three) year duration from a recognized University” AND “Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level; else the student is required to pursue and pass the BCS-012 course concurrently with IGNOU MCA'

The program has been divided into 6 semesters. There are 2 semesters each year (January to June and July to December).There will be 2 exams each year i.e in the month of June & December. There are 3 elective courses in IGNOU MCA, students has to select all of them. IGNOU is working to add some more electives, soon students will be able to select from more number of courses.

I don't know about other courses, but for MCA, IGNOU did not provided any Internship. but there was many interviews were held for employment of candidates.

There was many interviews were held for employment of candidates. I think there is a good chance to get a Job for talented students. Employers visits Campus on regular basis for Interviews. I attended the Interview of TCS, Wipro, HCL etc. & the package were according to the profile.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June,2016 at Convention Centre, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi. The program was coordinated by Prof. Narayan Prasad with the support of the Committee constituted by Vice Chancellor for this purpose. Prof. Prasad in his lecture on the Yoga: Philosophy and its various applications explained the concept, Philosophy, the dimensions and various Applications of Yoga. The children of the IGNOU campus illustrated the various postures of Yoga under the guidance of Ms. Nirmala, Yoga Teacher. Yogacharya Shri Sudhir Kumar Jain, Chief Guest in his speech focused on Yoga Practice in Daily Life and demonstrated various Asanas which can be practiced to relieve stress, anxiety, anger, long sitting problems, diabetes, frozen shoulder, backache, and spondylitis etc.

Feasible and affordable!! Fee Structure: Rs.54000/- for full programme to be paid semester wise @Rs.9000/- per semester; Non Maths students have to pay Rs.1200/- additional in the first semester. Examination fee is excluded, & that is Rs 120/ course currently.

Students are invited to fill Online Form for IGNOU Scholarship!!!! Candidates who want to get admission in college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship. Every year 2500 fellowships will be provided to the differently-abled students throughout the country by the organization for helping them. Out of them 30% fellowships will be reserved for girls and transferable to male students in case of non-availability of female candidates. for more details visit the IGNOU official website.

It's good. But in some cases, it is having rough interference. Such as showing data in Assign Submission Status, Updating e-books in E-Gyankosh is very slow in the process. Under some Regional Centres, students are facing problems for Lab Courses. If you want to take admission in IGNOU, then my advice will be that you should inquire about your Programme, Courses( Mainly in lab courses) and Counselling Schedule before taking admission.

The college hostel were good but only the brilliant student get a chance to live there. The food was average of the hostels mess and it was very to live in hostels. But there aren't many rooms for every students in the hostels. The PG available near college give decent accommodation in budget and provides good facilities in low budget but they are always sharing.

Yes they are! for me, They are helpful till the date & responded positively whenever I asked any question.

Exams and labs are well managed by IGNOU staffs. The administration is very good and manage the whole system very efficiently. This college also conducts a lot of extra co-curricular programs. Most importantly IGNOU is one of the few universities in India which follows “flexibility in education “ concept , mostly seen in reputed foreign universities . Flexibility stretches to course selection , non compulsory nature of classroom attendance , variety in optional subjects , assignments , etc.

I visited the regional center and filled up the form and submitted it along with my Educational certificates. However, Now Admission in IGNOU is also accepted through the website. There are 2 sessions are conducted every year by IGNOU, for January session admission is accepted during November to December & for July session admission is accepted during April to May.

The faculty members are well qualified and supportive. They teaches thoroughly the syllabus and focus more on practicals so that students can implement it at workplace. if someone find difficulties in any subject, they are allowed to contact the faculty personally. They gives good assistance.
