I don't have any remarks about my college.In fact I am proud to be a part of VIT and VITIAN. Once a VITIAN always a VITIAN only.

GATE.I was much interested in doing a Master's so I have written GATE. I got qualified but I will not any IITs, NIT's with my GATE score so I had written private institutions like VITMEE, Manipal, BITSAT for masters. I got into the VIT through the VITMEE score.

Actually in VIT for M-Tech it's an RBL(Research-Based Learning). Moreover here they will prepare the curriculum as per the industry requirements. As the curriculum is based on industry definitely it will be in the form of research only. We have to do mini projects for every subject and one SET project.

Yes, This year around 60 companies came for internships only. In my class(VLSI Design) out of 105 around 85 people got internships in reputed companies like Intel, Cadence, Synopsys. The general Stipend will be around 12k to 15k. The highest I heard was 30k given by NETAPP company.

Too good. In this year around 100 companies came for placement. Almost all of the students will complete their course by having a minimum of two offers in their hands.I myself I got placed in CTS, INFOSYS(Software), HCL(CORE). Here every student on average will attend 8 to 12 companies then you imagine the placement scenario in VIT.

In VIT there are around 250 Clubs like NSS, VIT CHARGERS club etc. Every day in the college there used to be at least 5 to 6 events we even will not have time to attend all the events. Every year one cultural and one technical fest will be conducted. The Technical fest called GRAVITAS(Three days) conducted every year in the month of September. The Cultural fest called RIVIERA(four days) conducted every year in the month of February almost 6000 students from all over the world will attend. National Celebrities like Shankar Mahadevan, Suresh Raina use to come every year. The celebrity's list will vary from year to year.

The fee structure here is reasonable only.I paid around 3akh per annum for my course along with accommodation and food. VIT will provide a free WI-FI facility for every student about 10GB every month. Sometimes I used to feel that 3lakh per annum I am paying will be less for the facilities that are providing by the VIT. Here labs will be accessed by the students 24X7.

VIT will offer scholarship in form of merit and finical assistance.For merit they will select top ten students from each class and give scholarship of about 10k per student.For finical assistance also they will provide 10k for every student.I also recently got scholarship in the form of finical assistance 10k . This year VIT has given about 10 crores for scholarships in different forms.

In VIT there will be no chance for gender ratio. In classes both boys and girls will sit together in front of the lecturers.UNITY IN DIVERSITY will applicable to VIT because it is a place where people from all the states of INDIA and out of INDIA also.In my batch I have different states guys as close friends.As I said earlier in VIT there will be lot of cultural events and we have no time attend all the cultural events also.About campus life it was good.Now I am feeling sad as my campus life in VIT is coming to end.

Hostel rooms will be good they will provide one chair and one studying table for every student.I used to pay 36k for room per annum. The food in the mess is same as that of the home food.Even when I am in home for holidays I used to feel I was missing the hostel food that much good it will be.The menu will be like BF cornflakes(2cups),Juices(2glasses),2 Bolied eggs,one any tiffin,toasted bread with butter,jam,coffee,milk,tea. Lunch:one sweet,rasam,sambar,dal,one fry,white rice,special rice,curd. Snacks:samosa,coffee,milk,tea, Dinner:one seasonal fruit,chapathi,curry,white rice,rasam,curd rice.

Yes,In VIT there is separate association for almuni called VITAA(VIT Almuni Association). Every year VITAA day will be held on Jan 26. Almuni will come and they will share their job experience they will suggest us for their company to hire. They will suggest our faculty also on which topics they have to concentrate for students getting placement.As a final year student I also registered in VITAA recently.

Exam Structure will be like CAT1 15% CAT2 15% project or assignments will be for 30% and the final(FAT) will be 45%. They will conduct CAT for 50 marks and convert the marks to 15%.They will conduct FAT for 100 marks and convert it into 45%.The projects and assignments will be in the industry standards not like normal colleges. Of course the structure will vary from faculty to faculty .We will not feel any hectic because here students will do work with love towards their studies.

After the completion of my GATE, I was waiting for the notifications of the private universities because as I was an open category student I will not get into any IITs, NIT with my GATE score. So I have applied to all the private institutions. I got 438 ranks in VITMEE. They called me for the counseling process. I Came and attended the counseling chose M-Tech(VLSI Design). The administration was decent.

In VIT if you have to be faculty the minimum qualification is Doctorate from IIT's,NIT's.Some will be through industry experience.So the faculty will have industry exposure.They will be helping the students when needed and also they also share their problems discussed in the industry.
